I appreciated the opportunity to visit with community members and tour @UAFS's maternal and infant health program during Capital for a Day in Fort Smith. I was proud to help secure $15 million in federal funding to support a new maternal and infant health care center on campus and look forward to seeing how this investment strengthens care for mothers and babies across our region.

Joined @L3HarrisTech and state leaders in Camden today to celebrate the opening of the new Arsenal of Freedom facility. South Arkansas plays a vital role in strengthening our defense industrial base and supporting our servicemembers and allies, all while creating good-paying jobs for Arkansans.

Last month, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office became Arkansas’s first operational Rapid DNA booking station. It was great to visit and see how this technology is helping law enforcement generate DNA profiles faster, strengthen investigations and keep our communities safe. I was proud to secure $1 million in federal funding to support this effort.

Enjoyed joining @NEMA_web leaders for their annual conference this morning. I was proud to recognize NEMA’s president and Arkansas’s own A.J. Gary for his years of dedicated service protecting Arkansans and helping communities recover from disasters.

I applaud the administration's push to promote women's health. I have strongly supported bipartisan and nonpartisan efforts to improve maternal health in Arkansas & across America, as well as ensure women veterans receive the unique care and treatment they need through the VA.

Great to be in Jefferson County to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new main access facility and gate at Pine Bluff Arsenal. This installation is an important part of Arkansas’s national defense contributions and supports the local economy. It’s taken years of hard work and collaboration with @SenTomCotton, @RepWesterman, and local leaders to get this project authorized and funded. The new Access Control Point will strengthen security, improve efficiency and help position the Arsenal for future growth. I’ve been proud to champion PBA with our delegation, and this progress is a great start to its next exciting chapter.

It was an honor to join many distinguished Arkansans for the investiture of U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas, John Thomas Shepherd. He comes from a great family of legal minds including his dad. He will be in our prayers and we have no doubt he'll bring the same care, diligence and wisdom that has defined his personal and professional life to this new role.

So pleased to spend the morning at @sautech68 marking the next phase in the launch of the Defense Manufacturing Center of Excellence and dig even deeper into how local, state and federal partners can keep advancing efforts to ensure we're producing the skilled workforce needed to support the defense industry. What’s really special about that task is that when we succeed here, it makes our servicemembers, our nation and the world a safer place too.

Great visit to @StandardLithium's LANXESS South Plant near El Dorado to see its advanced lithium extraction operations firsthand. We're excited Arkansas is leading the charge in domestic critical mineral production, powering everything from cell phones to advanced munitions.
