The Pope makes a claim about an "ontological difference" and the smart set still doesn't get it, can only think in terms of functional mimicry.
"If a fake X can't be practically distinguished from a real X it must be a real X." No dude, a really good fake is still a fake.

Since your opinions are meant to last, you should consider what you'll say when AIs are trained on visual experience as well as art made by human artists, because that is presumably coming.

i think the reason this whole job market thing is so annoying to Millennials that graduated into the crash is that 20 year olds are all assuming we had fun well-paying buzzfeed jobs handed to us. no!!! youth unemployment was over DOUBLE what it is now! it sucked!! i get it!!!!!! i don’t give a shit if you show up to an interview with tattoos or an iced coffee or whatever but the same old people that were in charge when i entered the job market are STILL IN CHARGE. STILL!!!!! you have to dazzle them with your little performance first, they love that shit.

At first, that looked like the whole answer:
too much walking, too late.
Then he checked the six Thursdays he’d skipped basketball.
The challenge counted only movement recorded by his phone.
His phone stayed in the locker during games.
A 90-minute game that left him soaked earned about 700 steps before and after.
A 90-minute walk earned nearly 10,000.
So he walked.

"My concern isn't that the government murdered a civilian in the street & then openly lied to the public about it, it's that that civilian should have known better than to exercise his constitutional rights in a way a fascist government might not like." Cowardly bootlicker talk.

I don't know who needs to hear this but a number of Japanese officers were executed for war crimes after WWII for executing survivors of attacks, many specifically for killing survivors of naval actions.

I am no Constitutional law expert, but it seems like many Americans know very little about the 1st Amendment. Public school employees can't be fired for speech they make outside of school (Pickering v. Board of Education) and there is no hate speech exception (Matal v. Tam)
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what is supposed to take over the world.

The ships involved in the collision depicted in the video are likely the SS Andrea Doria and MS Stockholm, from a 1956 incident off Nantucket, Massachusetts. The Andrea Doria sank after the Stockholm struck it, with lifeboats deployed, matching the video's description. No recent 2025 collisions fit this scenario, suggesting the footage is historical.

After several delays, @DOGE has finally posted its purported savings. Why did it take so long to create a simple webpage with a 1000-row table? Who knows! Let's dig in.
Headline number: $55B saved. They list the savings per nixed contract. This should be easy to verify then.
🧵
It's Monday. @DOGE is the laziest, most overpaid bunch of incompetent, unelected bureaucrats we've ever seen.

Actually Justice Kavanaugh saw the law the same way when Obama was in office in 2013. He said the president doesn’t have authority to rescind or halt funds appropriated by Congress. Here’s his opinion from that case when he was on the DC Circuit:

Howie just said “I’ll say this about the 2024 New York Mets. They made this 70 year old feel like a 15 year old all over again”

While red states spend more federal dollars than they contribute, blue states get the short end of the stick — Connecticut pays ~$6K per capita more than it receives. @Morning_Joe

I've said it once and I will say it again:
My husband is a doctor. I'm a lawyer. The fact that together we cannot figure out our health insurance coverage and documents really says something about American healthcare.
