Scamcoins ARE automatically hostile to Bitcoin. They cheat people, and make Bitcoin look bad by association and affinity fraud. Anyone dealing in scamcoins is not a friend to Bitcoin.

One way to think of bitcoin was in human years. At 17 yrs a teenager. But given the events of bip-110, maybe a better framing is the sha-256 lifespan was the gestation phase, bip-110 the labor, and the pow change was its birth into the world, now a fragile and beautiful potential of what it can be, and those of us providing care in this phase of its life are insanely protective of it, willing to kill SV1 mining for its long term strength and well being.

Maybe more accurate -
If BIP-110 fails, Bitcoin will have its soul divorced from the sha256 chain - through a pow fork, to facilitate BIP-110. That will spell the end of the sha256 chain, and the beginning of Bitcoin’s next stage of its life on its next pow algo.

This is false, but _even if_ it were true, it sounds exactly like what Satoshi did in 2009
We have to fight for bitcoin relentlessly. If only a small group of people are willing to do that, I'm going to be part of that small group, over the big group of sheep walking into a CBDC

Ah yes, ‘decentralised mining’ that came about by an incredibly centralised and VERY small group individuals, LITERALLY deciding the rules of their money for everyone… sounds legit.

Taleb writes the foreword to The Bitcoin Standard. Taleb then simps for COVID authorities and sells out. Saif gets mad. Saif is cool until the cold card hack. Then Saif simps for Saylor.
When Taleb sold out I always had a feeling that Saif would eventually sell out too

Back when ASICs were first being announced, we planned to PoW change if it centralised. We should go back to that plan, and repeat as needed

SPAM INSTITUTIONS AND BIP110
Some of you think that BIP110 was rejected by the miners for various false reasons. Let me demonstrate the real reason why BIP110 was rejected.
To the left, we see 3 of 6 the big hasher pools that control over 90% of the network. When you look into who owns who, it's really more like 2 pools.
The blocks of those pools are all 100% full, while the blocks of the smaller pools on the right at not always full.
One of the reasons for this is that the spammers have entered into an agreement with the hasher cartel to bypass the policies and fill every empty block space with spam, all at a very low fee. On the right, red shows the empty section of blocks.
As a result of this, spam now takes up half of block space, and they pay 4x less than monetary users for the same block space.
This is why BIP110 was ignored. The spammers and the hasher pools got together behind closed doors and decided they run the show now.
