No-one has done more to champion cancer patients, demystify dying, raise funds for cancer research & break down the barriers between the lab, the clinic and the patient.
Thank you, wonderful @bowelbabe, for your magnificent spirit & thirst for life 💙

.@OortwijnW comments that HTA was never intended to be reduced to considerations of clinical effectiveness and costs. HTA should be a multidimensional and multidisciplinary process that considers diverse aspects of a technology’s impact. #HTAi2022Utrecht

I am totally outraged that Glasgow COP26 organisers did not think to make the venue wheelchair accessible - so basic it's beyond belief!!! Ms Elharrar was too kind in her response so I will be angry for her.
“Inexcusable" that all COP26 venues aren't accessible for disabled people, says charity

Just another ‘lazy GP’ ready to see West Wirral’s unwell, both face to face and remotely at 8am on a Saturday (& honoured to do so). Public, please get behind us, we went into medicine to help, i don’t know a GP who isn’t working late/starting early; feeling tired and demoralised

👇 More on hierarchy of evidence...
But remember, everyone, this hierarchy is focused on research aimed at inferences of causality. Not all research addresses questions of causality, and therefore, this hierarchy doesn't make sense for all forms of research!

How the men at my work leave at night:
Walk out & leave
How I as a woman leave work at night:
1. Make sure I have my phone in hand, just in case
2. Wear a hoodie to look more masculine
3. Make sure I’ve parked under a streetlight
4. Get in & immediately lock the car
21 years ago @profadmorris was the chair of our first #HTA expert committee on diabetic retinopathy - an empathetic, insightful leader who knows how to bring experts together to develop clinically led change that will improve patient care - this award is well deserved
Andrew has been a huge source of support to me, my team and to ministers over the last 18 months. I’m sure that members of the COVID19 advisory group will also say he’s been an inspirational chair. This is richly deserved @HDR_UK @profadmorris

To fight Zoom fatigue, give people the freedom to turn their cameras off.
New experiment: videos off reduces exhaustion and boosts engagement—especially for women and newcomers.
Cameras off doesn't reflect disengagement. It helps to prevent burnout and promote attention.
