I'm far less concerned that Paxton's mistress is a Dem than I am that PAXTON HAS A MISTRESS, which started b4 his wife filed for divorce. There was a time, not long ago, when such things ended a political career. Now, we're told by his soon-to-be-ex-wife, et al, to vote for him.

Amy Acton's stepfather's surviving biological daughter spoke to The Daily Mail when they knocked on her door in Ohio, while sobbing.
She said: She believed Amy's story, because her father raped her sister more than once (the victim in this 1974 indictment); she remembered Amy lived in a tent with Donna and Cledith; it's been terrible for her family to see Vivek's ad run in Ohio; and she heard rumors her father had victimized even more young girls.
NEW: I obtained the full Trumbull County file for Amy Acton's stepfather's 1974 charge which shows that he was indicted for incest involving his 16-year-old biological daughter in 1973. The sheriff was then unable to locate him to serve him a summons in the county and nothing further happened in the case.
Donna Arthur, featured in Vivek Ramaswamy's still-running campaign ad, married Cledith the next year in a neighboring county.

What an offensive, stupid thing to say. A woman who has suffered a miscarriage is most assuredly NOT the same as a woman who chose to end her child's life (regardless of her reason). Only a leftist woman would add salt to so many other women's wounds.

Doesn't make the Vivek ad correct, factually or morally. The evidence is that she told the truth about that & her mother lied. That she has issues is a separate issue (albeit potentially related). She may be unfit to be gov, but the ad (& support of it) are still wrong.

💯 I’m afraid it says a great deal abt those & their party who use this as an attack. It’s all too consistent. Acton may be unfit for office, she may be a lot of things, but using this was not only low, all evidence is that she was honest abt the rape & her mother was not.

I hate dirty politics and dragging opponents' families into the mud. When it comes to Amy Acton, nobody is discounting childhood trauma. Family mess decades later is deeply painful and hard to untangle.
But let’s call this what it is: Her campaign is weaponizing that pain to cover up a blatant pattern of lying. Vivek Ramaswamy's leaked ad featuring her mom wasn't about abuse. It accused Amy of having a lifelong pattern of lying. So why did her campaign's response to the ad fail to address that issue? Maybe.. because her mom is right.
Back in September, Amy and her team claimed an "armed man lunged at her, injuring multiple people" at a fair. Which led to her pushing for felony charges against the man. But even the prosecutor admitted that video evidence showed he wasn’t close to her, no weapon was drawn, and no major injuries could be seen.
And speaking of moms, in August, her own campaign issued a press release directly attacking Vivek’s mother, claiming she helped manipulate clinical trial data.
We have to be mature enough to hold two truths at once: we can have deep compassion for a child who suffered real family trauma and still demand basic honesty from a grown politician who wants to run our state.
