DETAILS (as predicted): FT: Residents of Oleshky who want to evacuate to Ukrainian-controlled territory will first be taken to Crimea or Russia. Zelenskyy warned about exactly this scenario. My take: Russia will do a propaganda movie about people “saved” (not starved) by RU, amplified by DC.

Two Saudis named Muhammad used Jared Kushner to funnel money to Donald Trump, the Russians hacked his phone the Dutch flipped a Russian agent and the story broke. The American media says nothing and bashes El Sayed all day for wanting to help America.

🔴 Today , they released the first edition of the book "Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner's and Mohammed bin Zayed's Secret Conspiracy to Reshape the Middle East." These are the most important points from its first chapter, where investigative journalist Matthew Cole reveals details of a secret meeting that brought together Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Jared Kushner in New York in December 2016, just before Trump's inauguration as president. This chapter outlines how the UAE leadership bypassed the Obama administration to reach directly into the inner circle of the president-elect, leveraging its network of financial and investment ties. Most crucially, the book uncovers what was discussed during the meeting regarding Qatar, Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Israel, along with the priorities that Abu Dhabi wanted the new administration to adopt. It also traces the role Kushner played in opening unconventional channels of communication, and how that meeting, according to the author's account, laid the foundation for a political relationship whose effects extended into subsequent years. 🔷 The book reveals a meeting that brought together Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Zayed in the presidential suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan, after Trump's election victory and before his inauguration. Bin Zayed arrived with a delegation that included dozens of people, among them armed individuals. The meeting came after he decided to cancel a farewell banquet that had been scheduled with President Barack Obama at the White House. 🔷 The Emiratis offered no explanation for canceling his meeting with Obama, and the U.S. administration only learned of his New York visit after the State Department received notifications of his diplomatic travel itinerary. The author describes this action as a clear circumvention of diplomatic norms and a signal of the UAE leadership's shift in focus from the outgoing administration to the personal circle of the president-elect. 🔷 Mohammed bin Zayed enlisted the help of a New York-based hedge fund manager with financial ties to the UAE and a personal friendship with Kushner to arrange the meeting. This serves as an indication of how the UAE uses its investment network to access influential American political figures. 🔷 Kushner informed bin Zayed that the Middle East would be the top priority of the Trump administration's foreign policy, and that he would personally take charge of the diplomatic file on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Trump had selected him to handle these matters despite his lack of traditional diplomatic experience. Meanwhile, bin Zayed laid out his grievances to Kushner about U.S. policy over the previous eight years, viewing Obama's support for the Arab Spring uprisings—particularly the protests that toppled Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak—as a betrayal of a key U.S. strategic ally. He explained that Washington's abandonment of Mubarak had heightened Gulf regimes' concerns about the reliability of American guarantees. 🔷 He further argued that the Obama administration's decision to end the U.S. war in Iraq had created a strategic vacuum that enabled the Islamic State to expand and control vast territories in Iraq and Syria. He presented this outcome as evidence of the weakness in U.S. policy in the region. He also told Kushner that the UAE faces two enemies threatening its existence: the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran. He viewed the first threat as political Islam, while the second stemmed from Iran's regional influence and its network of armed groups linked to Tehran. 🔷 He accused Qatar of providing significant funding to the Muslim Brotherhood and using Al Jazeera to stoke regional tensions and support extremist Islamist currents, according to his narrative. He informed Kushner that he hoped the new U.S. administration would address the Qatari problem. This passage reveals that the Qatar file was already on the table in UAE communications with the Trump in Dec. 2016.

Republican and former Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court, Tom Phillips, lays out the many reasons why he is supporting James Talarico. In summary he opines “Paxton’s longstanding reputation will embarrass Texas in ways our state simply cannot afford. While I, like many Republicans, do not agree with all of Talarico’s past statements or current positions, I am confident that he would serve this great state with dignity and honor.” acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aai…

NEW: Anthropic’s filing appears to partly walk back—or at least massage—the co-founders’ pledge to commit 80 percent of their personal equity holdings in the AI startup to philanthropic causes, a commitment made when the startup was founded. Those acts of philanthropy, the filing suggests, are “voluntary, revocable expressions” that “do not constitute binding obligations.” motherjones.com/politics/202…

It was never a hoax. The Trump Administration and MAGA are largely a Russian Intelligence Operation.
“Russia Russia Russia.” “The Russia hoax.” “The greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.” Trump has repeated this mantra so many times he practically foams at the mouth saying it. And then his son goes to Mongolia, of all places, following a trail that already has a very Epstein-shaped footprint on it, and disappears into the steppe for two days with a Russian businessman named Umar Kremlev. Except Kremlev’s real surname is Lutfulloev. I’m sorry, but “Umar Kremlev, born Lutfulloev” is not a real person’s name. That is a Soviet villain generated by a malfunctioning Red Alert character creator. A guy tied to Putin’s security establishment, who built a gigantic betting empire, ran international boxing, travelled with Putin’s delegation, got decorated by Putin, and reportedly covered hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses for Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding. Then this same guy flies in to spend two secluded days with the sitting US president’s son. And, according to the FT, they were careful not to be photographed together. Totally normal stuff. Meanwhile, in Russia, people parade inflatable missiles marked “To Washington!”, state television routinely fantasizes about turning American cities into radioactive ash, and the December 2021 ultimatum to the United States and NATO has never exactly been withdrawn. For years the Kremlin has told Russians that the war in Ukraine is really a war against America. And somehow the Trump family keeps having these astonishingly warm, private, lucrative relationships with people from Putin’s world. But sure. Russia Russia Russia. Hoax hoax hoax. At some point, guys, you have to stop pissing on everyone’s leg and telling us it’s raining. What the fuck are we actually looking at here?

Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: “If Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…
