I have not seen the video. Those who love me most have urged me not to. One of the truths playing Kunta Kinte taught me is that the dehumanization of Black people was necessary to the success of our enslavement.

To all of the verified Twitter Blue vigilantes who feel duty bound to educate me about: a) Africans enslaving other Africans. b) Black on Black crime in America, or c) How my privilege makes me somehow less Black. Please f*ck all the way off!

It's only a fentanyl overdose if it comes from the ingestion region of France, otherwise it's just sparkling anxiety

A very well written explanation of the Florida police officer who did not suffer a fentanyl overdose.

Since many people are seeing this…I’ll add this for my medical friends: Early in COVID Children’s hospitals made huge changes to care for adults in order to assist with the incredible surge. We need the same creativity, flexibility and bravery from our adult hospitals now.

Three of the most powerful phrases in medicine are - “How can I help?” “Thank you for your flexibility” “I believe you” What else would you add?

Tonight as we were picking a Friday night family movie, the 12 year old stumbled across a film I hadn't thought about in many years. "Mommy, is Roger Rabbit good? It's PG, can we watch it?" . . . It's time, my son. It's time.

Things I love about Sydney - gourmet frozen meat pies at the Aldi, just toss a green salad and drinner is fucking sorted. Things I do not love about Sydney - there is no la croix, the peanut butter is weird, AND THAT I FOUND A DEAD LEECH IN MY HOUSE!!!

After a solid week of Australian schooling for my kids, I can say that my second favourite thing about schools here is school uniforms. It's amazing to not have to worry about outfits. Of course, that's a distant second to the fact that they won't die in a shooting.

Abortion is not just health care, it is a human right. Beyond infringing on bodily autonomy, there are conditions in pregnancy that result in death without safe abortion care. This is a calling for all in medicine to stand on the side of justice nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NE…

Lawmakers v. The Scientific Realities of Human Reproduction | NEJM

I don't know, maybe a bunch of white dudes who owned people and who would have been terrified by a toaster are not in fact right about literally everything forever in perpetuity – at Corpus Christi, TX

The U.S. Constitution is not God’s inspired word. It’s a legal document written by white men engaged in international human trafficking, genocide, rape and other crimes against humanity. The document was meant to insulate, perpetuate and institutionalize their crimes.
