No big headline for this 👇
Labour fined £14,250. Reform fined £2,187. Guess which one the left-wing press shouted about?
In 2023 Labour was fined £14,250 by the Electoral Commission for failing to declare donations properly. 20 separate breaches. Big money, real reporting failures.
No big headlines on The London Economic. No pile-on.
This week Reform was fined £1,750 for missing small print on three social media pages and an advert. Paid it a month late so it went to £2,187.
That's it. Admin.
But that one is everywhere. Screenshots, outrage, "Reform in trouble."
Same regulator. Same type of mistake. One fine seven times bigger than the other.
Only one gets turned into a scandal - and it's the one for Farage.
Tell you everything you need to know about the left-wing press. 🤦

The absolute state of The National.
You are openly bragging that “almost half” of Scots want a referendum, which mathematically guarantees that the majority of the country rejects your timeline. Only a nationalist echo chamber could look at a poll showing they are in the minority and try to spin it as a massive victory just to promote a digital podcast.
The people of Scotland have moved on, and no amount of editorial spin changes the fact that you lost the poll.

You paid to end slavery. 🇬🇧
Britain borrowed twenty million pounds to free 800,000 people in 1833. 💷
The last of it was paid off in 2015. Your taxes. Your parents’. Your grandparents’. 👨👩👧
Then sixty years of warships hunting slave ships. 150,000 people freed. ⚓

A major endorsement for Robert Jenrick and Reform UK's alternative Budget.
The Adam Smith Institute, one of Britain's most established economic think tanks, has backed Reform's economic vision.
This shows Britain does have a choice.
We can choose economic growth.
We can choose an economy that rewards hard work, ambition and enterprise.
We can choose to prioritise the people who get up every morning, go to work, pay their taxes and keep this country running.
Rather than continuing down the path of ever increasing taxation, spending and welfare dependency, Reform is offering a different direction.
Britain doesn't have to accept economic stagnation as inevitable.
It's time to put hardworking British people at the heart of our economy again.

I think @afneil has already dealt with this lie when it was Starmer peddling it.
“The reason the small boat crisis has arisen is we can’t return people and we have people knowing we can’t.”
The Prime Minister has argued that the arrival of around 213,000 illegal migrants across the Channel was a consequence of Britain leaving the EU.
Small boat crossings were first detected at the end of January 2018, two years before Britain left the EU. The Conservative government at the time declared the situation a “major incident” ⤵️

Whether you are happy or not that the Prime Minister is opening up the Brexit debate again, there are two things we know for certain.
1. He lied about not opening up the Brexit debate again.
2. He wouldn't be the PM right now, if he hadn't lied about it.

Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

The SNP is betraying Scottish factories with Chinese made schoolbags to be given to every P1 pupil. The fact they’re using Chinese firms who pay workers £1 per hour is an extra kick in the teeth for Scottish companies. If the Government is not going to use our own workers who is?

I want a criminal investigation into the school bag situation in Scotland the overspend is like a siren for corruption and theft.
Scotgov/SNP could have just given P1s a voucher to spend on a local high street for a bag of their choosing. That would have injected some much needed money back into high streets and localities.
Instead they think of the Chinese before they think of Scots. If there ever was a situation to convey the mixture of scumminess and incompetence of the SNP this is a great example.
Most of the SNP don’t even have children and it shows in the way they think.

You desperately need a Community Note for this fabrication.
Westminster has made absolutely no such “admission”. Furthermore, your £1 trillion oil fund fantasy relies on the economic illiteracy of believing a government can save money while simultaneously spending it.
UK oil revenues were not “squandered”; they were immediately incorporated into day-to-day public services, welfare, and infrastructure across the UK, explicitly funding Scotland's consistently higher per-capita spending.
To build a Norwegian-style sovereign wealth fund, Scotland would have had to endure decades of brutal austerity to generate the massive budget surpluses required to actually save that capital.

For the avoidance of doubt (since some have been asking), the 800 on the Scottish public payroll without proper jobs does NOT include the 129 MSPs in Holyrood 🤣🤣🤣
Astounding Sunday Times investigation reveals new scandal in SNP’s Socialist Scotland:
800 NHS, central government, council and quango workers whose jobs no longer exist but remain on the public payroll because of the SNP’s ‘no public-sector redundancy’ policy.
Estimated cost of paying people to do nothing: £27m a year.
One NHS Highland worker has been receiving a full salary and benefits for 17 years despite not having a specific job.
The health board refused to say what the worker had been doing for almost two decades and how much they had been paid.
Likely cost to the taxpayer is expected to be far higher with several public bodies refusing to disclose salaries for hundreds of the workers awaiting redeployment.

SNP ministers are forever telling us there’s no money. Then we discover this.
The Sunday Times reports at least £27 million a year spent retaining around 800 public sector workers without permanent posts. Some waiting five years. One for 17 years.
How on earth has this been allowed to continue? Swinney must answer for this disgrace.
It’s not the SNP’s money. It’s taxpayers’ money.
Major investigation from The Sunday Times - the Scottish state is paying a minimum of £27m a year to around 800 public sector workers, in the NHS, councils, police etc who do not have a job, but they cannot be made redundant owing to SNP policy

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

Declaring that Scotland “does not need nuclear” while demonstrating zero understanding of how a power grid actually works. Wind is intermittent. When the wind stops blowing, a modern grid requires a consistent base load of power to prevent blackouts. If you completely reject zero-carbon nuclear energy as the Greens are demanding, you are actively ensuring that Scotland remains reliant on fossil gas backups to keep the lights on during a calm winter week.
