Another farce for @RBKingston. I wouldn't trust them to organise a piss up in a brewery!
Kingston Council's so called due diligence doesn't even include a quick check of accounts at Companies House. Result - appointing a company £20 million in debt: web.archive.org/web/20250409…
Does anybody in this group understand the rules regarding a Councils HRA and also anybody with legal expertise in Leases and Leasehold Service Charges.
Need some help.
More than one way to skin a cat. Filing a Maladministration Complaint against Kingston Council with @LGOmbudsman
Everytime you look at what they are doing, something worse appears. Only problem is its going to be a big file!

Time to step it up...
In attempt to get Kingston Council I have prepared files for The Information Commissioners Office regarding the Leader of Kingston Council's conduct and The Housing Ombudsman regarding their failure to complete Stage One & Two Formal Complaints within Statutory Time Limits and responses containing false information.
After taking advice a file is now being prepared for the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman regarding Maladministration which is evident in everything Kingston Council touches. How an organisation can operate so badly, especially one that is there to serve it's residents is bewildering. More staggering is that nobody is willing to hold them accountable. Maybe it is that they have become so powerful and detached from reality that nobody is able to hold them accountable.
If they operated in the private sector, they would have been declared bankrupt long ago. If they were a PLC and year on year produced no profits and kept going cap in hand to shareholders to keep them afloat, the day would quickly arrive when they refuse to bail them out. We are effectively those shareholders
Every single failure listed below is backed up by hard evidence, with the majority of it supplied by the Council itself. They are that incompetent they don't even realise it. As the saying goes "give a fool enough rope..." They are all issues that I have personally experienced and suffered.
When you add in their spectacular failure with the Kingfisher and the millions of pounds of residents money that went up in smoke due to their incompetent mismanagement of the project, how, or is it why, are they still in a job that we are paying their wages for such failure? Will they ever be held accountable? Will they ever be investigated?
Maybe not, but I will not give up trying until they are!
Is there anybody with legal expertise who could advise?
Lease states I'm only liable for Service Charges for costs incurred within my 'Block' and 'Estate' yet when I challenged costs for caretaking due to only having one caretaker, Council said we have to pay % of entire borough
Although I would not advise others to follow my lead I have broken the cardinal rule of @LKPleasehold & withheld payment of Service Charges in an attempt to get @RBKingston to produce legitimate invoices. I last paid in April 2019 some 1770 days ago but nothing changes...
Apologies for a long absence but my health both physical & mental has been declining & was caring for mum who sadly passed away last month. All the reasons for starting this group are still there & increasing.
I'm after some help. As my charges are bordering on fraudulent 1/2
The difference between a HOMEOWNER/ LEASEHOLDER
2013 Electricity Bill for £3.5k
H'owner calls energy supplier and requests they investigate.
Problem gets sorted.
L'holder calls LA and requests same.
10 years & £22k on, still no answer as to why bills are so high...
H'owner wants maintenance carried out they choose best company & price.
L'holder wants same. If Council even agree to do the work, you end up with contractors who don't know one end of screwdriver from the other & get charged 3 times going rate...
Survey for Local Authority Leaseholders;
1. Annual cost of Service Charges overall?
2. Annual cost of Caretaking;
a) Block?
b) Estate?
3. How many flats
a) in Block?
b) Blocks in Estate?
4) Is Caretaking charged solely for costs on your Estate or as a % of Borough?
My last post mentioned mental health & appears to have struck a chord with many. I would never claim to be under the stress of those trapped in the cladding scandal. I cannot begin to understand how they deal with the situation & I truly feel for them. The feeling of being...
Councillors, they lie, breach your confidentiality & GDPR then close ranks with the Council. Quote from Ed Davey‘s SAR response... " you told me not to respond to his previous email but it appears he is not going to leave it." That demonstrates how we are looked upon by MP's
