The system is backwards. Transparency is for government. Privacy is for the people.

This is one of the best ways I have seen this phrased so far
Freedom doesn’t disappear overnight. It disappears one “reasonable” surveillance program at a time.

They’ll fine you because a microphone decided your car was too loud. They’ll dispatch cops because an aerial scan found a backyard shed that wasn’t in the database. They’ll build a searchable record of every church, clinic, gun store, protest and political meeting you visit. They’ll identify you through street cameras and dispatch police without ever asking your name. The police state of the future will be contactless: no checkpoint, no inspector, no conversation - just a camera, an algorithm, and an automatic penalty. Every new power will be sold as “efficiency.” Keep pushing against it. If not, freedom will be the inefficiency they eliminate.

But they'll never reduce spending @LPBexar
Democrat-run San Antonio, Texas is preparing a massive amount of new taxes and increases on residents “More than 140 proposed new or increased fees, permits, other revenues in the proposed San Antonio city budget” - Garage sale permits will be $20 - If you lose a library book, you pay full lost price plus a higher processing fee (it used to be $10) - New environmental fees - $25 additional trash fee - Higher permit costs for things like Airbnb - Higher airport fees - Higher dog registration fees. Especially for dogs considered ‘dangerous’ - Higher ambulance transport fees - New $5 fee for incident and offense reports, used to be free - New $545 school fire inspection fee - The list goes on and on and on We are being taxed for death. How did we go from a war over a 2% tax to everything we’re paying now and they never stop adding more fees and increasing fees

Every State program comes with experts explaining why you couldn’t possibly understand life without it. Central banking. War. Tariffs. Surveillance. Rothbard: “The greatest danger to the State is independent intellectual criticism.” Now you understand why.

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began. The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start. Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have. If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Search Gina Hinojosa's platform for the word Flock. You will not find it. Search it for ALPR. For license plate readers. For warrantless location tracking. Nothing. She is running against Greg Abbott's corruption without saying one word about Greg Abbott's surveillance state. Every Texan who drives past a camera on a pole is being logged, and the logs are being sold, shared, and searched without a warrant. That is happening under this governor. The candidate running to replace him has not said whether she would stop it. Somebody should ask her.

The federal government just indicted a man for having good security settings. Samuel Tunick flew home to Atlanta. CBP grabbed him at the airport, demanded his phone, and told him they did not need a warrant. He had GrapheneOS installed with a duress PIN, a feature that wipes the device instead of unlocking it. The screen flashed. The data went away. Now he is facing a federal charge for destruction of property to prevent seizure. Read that again. They said they did not need a warrant to take it. Then they charged him with a crime for the state of the thing they did not need a warrant to take. The agents floated child exploitation as the reason for the search. His lawyers say the actual interest was his association with the Cop City opposition. Funny how that works. The scariest possible accusation gets deployed at the checkpoint, and the political one shows up in the paperwork later. Here is the principle. Your phone is not a suitcase. It is your papers, your effects, your entire life, and the Fourth Amendment does not evaporate because you are standing on a particular square of linoleum at Hartsfield-Jackson. A duress PIN is a lock. Refusing to open a lock is not obstruction. If the government wants what is behind it, there is a well established procedure. It involves a judge. Encryption is not evidence of a crime. It is evidence that you were paying attention.

Congress is not serious. We are voting on a stock trading ban for members of Congress… BUT Republicans added voter-ID in the legislation. Not to get Dems to vote for voter-ID, but to get them to vote against the stock trading ban, so they can use it in the Nov. election.

Explain it these people like they’re 5. When someone relentlessly promotes mass surveillance while dismissing every civil-liberties concern, it’s fair to question whether they’re speaking for themselves - or for the surveillance industry.
Flock cameras do not violate the 4th amendment. Looking at things in public view is not a search, nor do you have a right to privacy from it. It’s literally the entire basis for establishing probable cause.

Those still parroting “if you’ve done nothing wrong…” and other mass-surveillance talking points are telling on themselves. Whether they’re useful idiots or paid propagandists, they’re advancing the surveillance state’s agenda. Ostracize them.

"You will never see Republicans and Democrats work together so effectively as when it comes to keeping third parties off the ballot or out of debates." Jessi Cowart is right. And Texas Libertarians are on the ballot in 2026 regardless. chron.com/politics/article/t…
