Qualified immunity should be ended for ALL government employees, not just ICE.

Just so we're all clear on this, the Trump administration is harboring a fugitive illegal immigrant after they tried to steal an election with help from his billionaire donors.
Again.

There are strong claims that ICE has been detaining an American citizen who was born in Florida. Phillip James, 39, has been detained for at least 10 months. He's currently in Indiana facing deportation to Jamaica.
Public records, court documents (including a 1988 paternity case), his mother's testimony, and a valid US passport held for 15 years confirm that he was born in Florida and is an American citizen.
Medical experts who evaluated him said that he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and that his claims of being born in Jamaica (along with other claims like being foreign royalty) are psychiatric delusions.
Nevertheless, DHS denies his citizenship and initiated deportation proceedings based on his own delusional statements, with no external evidence indicating he was born in Jamaica or holds Jamaican citizenship.
To reiterate: his direct family, official US documents, AND the medical experts who evaluated him are all saying that Phillip James is a Florida-born man who is suffering from schizophrenic delusions... but DHS disagrees.

If you run an LP affiliate account, you don't represent yourself. It's not your personal account. You represent the Libertarian Party.
If your messaging is unprofessional, it doesn't just make you look bad. It impugns the entire party. You're making everyone look bad.
When you post the latest edgy culture war dank meme from 4chan, you aren't advancing liberty. You're just announcing to the entire world that you exist in a right-wing agitprop infoslop bubble. We get it, dudebro. All your friends are Republican. That's not a good thing.(The same could be true of left-wing spaces if they ever learned how to meme.)
When you get into long, drawn out arguments 30 replies deep with Internet strangers, chatbots, and provocateurs, you aren't advancing liberty. You're just wasting time and hurting your own social media engagement.
And when you take the obvious bad-faith concern troll bait from people dead set on libeling the Libertarian Party, and that 30 reply deep thread is about age of consent laws, you are absolutely not advancing liberty. You're actively harming it.
There is a time and place for legal and clinical discussions to be held. Twitter is not that place. A Libertarian Party-branded Twitter account, doubly so.
If you can't represent the party professionally, you shouldn't be representing the party at all in any official capacity. That's what your personal account is for.
The purpose of Libertarian Party social media is to advance the Libertarian Party. Some of you are doing the opposite.

If media and the voters paid half as much attention to the good Libertarian candidates as they do the bad or sensational ones, we would have state house and senate seats across the US and probably US House and Senate seats too.
I have heard more from major media about a state house candidate who sadly suffered a mental breakdown than I have about any other campaign Libertarians are running in across the country. And we have some great candidates this year in major races.
Its shameful how easily media ignores the best of our campaigns to create the narrative that we aren't serious about running for office. But that is par for the course in a two-party system controlled by giant corporate interests at the expense of individual liberty.

State affiliates who refuse to fix their bylaws, allowing drop-in "libertarian for a day" convention bussing to determine their candidates, officers, and delegates, were the reason this happened the first time and, if this new attempt succeeds, responsible for that as well.

We've periodically reminded Marxist-Leninist tankies that Holodomor-denying commies are morally equivalent to Holocaust deniers, and should be treated the same by society.
The reverse is also true.

ICE has detained this mentally ill US citizen in the Miami Detention Center in Indiana (an immigration prison) b/c he's deluded himself into believing he's the son of a Jamaican Prime Minister, even tho he has a Florida birth certificate. ICE really wants to deport him.

ICE racially profiled a nonverbal high school kid and brutalized him when he didn't follow their illegal orders. ICE claimed he "matched the description" of a "criminal illegal alien target." It's racial profiling, and it was inevitable that it would lead to this.

Americans didn’t ask to be brutalized by ICE.
They sure as hell shouldn’t be paying for its actions with broken limbs.
ICE needs to be held accountable for these grotesque tactics.
