No disrespect, a person is in a good economy like Germany with jobs existing, able bodied, sane & chooses not to work! Such is a waste of human existence & Oxygen. Much better dead. They are like that person given a talent and went to hide it. Such a person deserves nothing

Doesn't look like his only fear is women.
In Rwanda, 71 year old Callixte Nzamwita has reportedly spent 55 years living in isolation due to an extreme fear of women. He built a fence around his home at 16 to avoid contact and has relied on neighbors leaving food and water from a distance ever since. [via/ YT AfrimaxEnglish]

I believe that success, relative as it might be, is indicated more by culture than by any one notable event. What I mean is that success is not a lottery. It is systematic, structural and habitual. Like me, most of my friends are children or descendants of people who made something significant of their lives. And while not many of them are particularly liquid, it may be false to say they don’t have at least some privilege in the conventional sense. What I have observed, however, is that people from such backgrounds are more likely to organise themselves and their resources, prioritise relationships, avoid waste, and work with a sense of urgency that sometimes borders on restlessness. They can be labelled as “too serious”. As if they want to maintain and sustain a streak of socioeconomic security and improve it. By contrast, most of the people I have met who constantly talk about “hustling” and making money, and I say this sincerely, though I could be wrong, seem a little too relaxed about it all. They can spend hours watching TikTok videos, almost as though to distract themselves from reality. They know several Netflix series and can spend an entire afternoon and evening just talking. They might work, but it’s more intense and unstructured than consistent. Interestingly, they are also more likely to be swayed by trends and the latest ideas about how to “make it”. It is fascinating to observe. And it reminds me of the statement by Naval Ravikant: “Work as hard as you can. Even though who you work with and what you work on are more important than how hard you work.” Anyone who has watched people obsess over the apparent drive and ambition of successful individuals, only to get close enough to discover that those individuals are not particularly driven in practice, but merely seem to hang around like children who have grown bored with their toys, will understand what I mean. I’d observe and think: how do you claim to want a better life and great fulfilment, yet remain lackadaisical about redefining or strengthening your position to increase your chances? Then, every so often, you become intensely interested in some new idea, try it out in the hope that it will be the one that changes everything, and eventually return to the same pattern. Perhaps a key distinction both groups is that some people treat success as a way of life, while others treat it as an event they are waiting to experience. And it’s all good.

The irony in Nigeria is that the Police is willing to kill innocent people and protect criminals. I don't subscribe to extrajudicial killings, but if this were a protest, killing/shooting is imminent.

Never knew they could repossess the prepaid meter. That's insane.
Saw this on one of my Whatsapp groups. EKEDC IN DESPERATION _____ I installed an 18kW solar power system at my property in Lekki Phase 1, relegating EKEDC supply to a backup status. Since then, I have been having more frequent visits from personnel of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), coming to check my prepaid meter. On one of those visits, the EKEDC team stood watching the meter for motion to indicate consumption. When the meter wasn't moving, they called me to say they suspected I had bypassed the meter. I told them I had enough solar power for my daytime needs and only used their supply as a backup for the dark hours. To prove this to them, I switched on my inverter bypass for about 2 minutes so my consumption would be from EKEDC. They saw the meter rotating normally. They were visibly upset and one of them mumbled something like "This ọ̀gá no wan gree us chop". They left. Today (19-Oct-2026), three of them came to my premises with a notice of disconnection. The last time I loaded an EKEDC token was in July 2026 and I still had ample units left. When I asked why they would disconnect me, they said the reason was "LOR" (Loss of Revenue). They said my slow consumption indicates a faulty meter and I had to pay them ₦112,606 for loss of revenue. I told them my meter was not faulty and that they could test it if they wanted. The lady said they were losing revenue and they had to make up for it. I didn't know whether to laugh or to be angry. I have no intention of paying EKEDC a dime for its loss of revenue due to my taking steps to protect my interest. But, I share this story for all who are investing in solar power to know that the DisCos are now desperate. They now have "Loss of Revenue" as a reason for your disconnection from their supply. It is simply that they are not making enough money from you. I am waiting for EKEDC to disconnect me from their grid before I lodge a formal complaint to the regulatory authority. We are in interesting times in Nigeria! Raphael Awoseyin 19-Oct-2026

The story
I write this with a very heavy heart, but also with a sense of responsibility towards those involved in the whole mess and as a way of informing the general public. A young student reached out to me on X in 2019. He desired to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit, and I gave him a call. Within an hour, he was filled with the Holy Spirit, and not only him but other students in his room and beyond that his entire hostel. We were on that call for over three hours, and even after I hung up, the fire of the Holy Spirit continued to burn in the entire hostel. It was unbelievable to many who had never seen the move of the Holy Spirit in that light before. The president of the student fellowship on that campus heard about what happened and asked the young man to reach out to me and invite me to their annual programme at their university They were all students, and when they reached out, I responded as I have always done. I told them I would pay for my own transportation and upkeep. I expect no honorarium from them, but I expect them to be eager to learn about the Lord Jesus and walk in the reality of His power through the Holy Spirit. I went to their school and attended the event. It was monumental, as diverse kinds of miracles broke out at that event. This campus fellowship president somehow decided that he would align himself with me and the work of God that has been placed in my hands. I, however, do not believe in ministers submitting their ministries to another person or someone claiming that he was the one who gave another person a platform to thrive as a believer. I believe that if a young minister needs my support to stand on his own and thrive, I should not restrain myself but make sure I offer everything I can to ensure that such a young minister becomes successful. I supported this young minister in every way; he wove himself into my network, his became the adopted ministry that members of our fellowship supported financially and materially in every possible way. We set up his church in 2021 and built a church for him so that he would no longer need to rent a space in 2024. By all standards, he came into success, and I can beat my chest that he would surpass those of us who started a bit late because he started early, and he was having a very strong impact on his community and the body of Christ at large. Three weeks ago, he called me and told me he was in some financial mess and would need my help. I ignored him because I had noticed a pattern with him over the years, which I found to be very unflattering. He was always begging, cajoling, manipulating, and sometimes even acting in an aggressive manner towards people for money. I had called him aside and warned him several times to desist from this mindset. "I have not chopped anything out of his money" is not the right mindset of a believer. I also knew that the same way he called me soliciting for funds, he would have called several other members of our ministry the same way. That was his Modus Operandi over time so that he would get as much as possible from as many people as possible to resolve one issue. He liked playing all of us against one another and he was not averse to trading gossip and negative information about to others to another in order to ingratiate himself with someone he deemed a target for his financial benefit. Within a week, another person from his church reached out to me on X, asking that I let him send me a DM because of something he wanted to report to me. I reached out to the person, and I was told the most horrible thing that I have heard in recent years. I was told this young minister sexually molests and assaults the male members of his ministry. I was told this has been going on for years and that there are many victims who are coming out and demanding justice at his church location. I reached out to three pastors and begged them to help establish the truth of these allegations. The pastors reached out to the person who contacted me, and he in turn reached out to the others. The total number of young men whom this young man had sexually stimulated with his hands until they ejaculated was at least four. The others whose sex organs he touched and stimulated but not to the point of ejaculation were ten. In total, fourteen people came forward. Others told the story of this young man telling them to strip their clothing and using anointing oil to "wank" them in the name of conducting deliverance for them; others talked about how he used guile to collect money from them and even land properties, etc. My heart sank. I don't think I have ever cried as I have in the last three weeks. For days, I just remained in bed, staring into space and mourning in silence. I am no stranger to human beings and their ability to hurt you for loving them and believing in them, but this one hit me in a different way. His victims are in their late teens and early twenties. They begged me to step in and ensure that they get justice. I reached out to this young man, and he lied and lied and lied. He said there had been a word of prophecy that something like that would happen, but God said they would come back and beg him, and that he should not defend himself. I reached out to my lawyer and the Heads of Ministries to seek their counsel. They said it is a criminal offence and that the case must be taken up with the police. On the 23rd of September 2026, four of the victims went to the police station to report the case We also engaged a lawyer for them; a petition was written and submitted. I called the young man into a meeting last weekend, and I discovered that he was still being sly. He had told the other minister at whose house we had the meeting that he was innocent of the crime three days before the meeting. His inability to see what was going on and be remorseful was beyond me. It was like seeing a monster come fully out of its cave. After the meeting that day, I realised that it would be best if i washed my hands of this young man and distanced myself from him completely. Two days later, I got a call from another pastor. This young man had gone to this friend to tell a version of the story that was still untrue, and he was aiming to use me to sort out his victims, pay off his debts, placate them and make them forgive him so that he could return to the church we built for him to continue his life. All I was useful for in his estimation was to help him solve the problem, but I was deemed unworthy of the truth, and his victims were unworthy of his remorse or contrition. I challenged the Pastor to ask him to tell him the truth. I told him not to come to me defending a lie. Did he admit he did those things? I said I wouldn't lift a finger to help him unless he at least owned up to the evil that he did. The pastor called me back later and said, "He has admitted that he touched this one and that one and those ones and whatever else" Wow. As a ministry, we have reached out to his victims, and I will be having a meeting with them in a few days. Therapists have also been invited to be in the meeting, and so have elderly ministers of the gospel. The aim is for their healing and to ensure that the trauma he unleashed on them wouldn't spread to other people in the future. I wrote this so that the victims can read in my own hand all that had transpired and note that nothing has been covered up or swept under the carpet. I am also praying for the young man involved that he would find his way to the Lord in humility and that he would also confront the demon he is fighting by facing his victims and truly apologising to them for the evil he meted out on them. As for me, I have not been myself, and I believe that by doing this, I will be able to shed this weight on my chest and move on with my assignment in Christ at the same speed I was going before this hard halt. The pain feels like the cut of a thousand swords. Too many questions and too few answers. I apologise to the young man's victims. I know they have questions, but I wish they had spoken up earlier. I also apologise to all those who would have expected me to have seen it or noticed it somehow. I never kept quiet over this young man, as God is my witness. I kept shouting, but only a few listened to me, and at a point it felt like I was deliberately witch-hunting him. I make no excuses; I should have known, and I am very sorry for dropping the ball in this terrible manner. I thank you all for your patience. The police are actively investigating the young man. His victims are receiving all the support we can give and more. We have not rested a minute since the moment the information was presented to us. I thank everybody for their patience. -GSW-

Anyway, as I have always said, the charisma and posturing used in carrying out these atrocities can be used for good too. Assume the likes of these folk, Shekau, and other people with the power to influence put it to good use in our society.

There is something I've noticed about this place: how quickly we are to pull others down once a rumour has spread about them. I'll start with Fechulo as an example. When the story broke, when that rabid, vile, good-for-nothing clout-chaser made a video, made a mountain out of a molehill, a molehill she created with her "beautiful lips" comment, and posted it here, so many of you were quick to pull him down. So many men were eager to laugh at him, to teach him game. The hilarity of that. A Nigerian man teaching another Nigerian man game. A Nigerian man. Lol. When news broke that it was the lady who had initiated things with her comment about his lips, many of you didn't recant. You didn't come back to say, "Oh, I got this wrong. I apologize." You simply moved on, as though you hadn't joined a crowd of people in ridiculing someone over a story you hadn't bothered to understand; to verify. But even that isn't the point. The point is how eager you are to see someone fall so you can have a good laugh, so you can rush into the comments and say, "I always knew there was something off about this guy." The same thing happened with Next Gen Constructions and the person who called him out. So many of you were quick to label him a scammer and pile on him. You knew nothing about the origin of their business dealings, you weren't privy to the contract they had signed, and you had no idea what might have happened behind the scenes, yet you were so comfortable passing judgement on a matter you knew so little about. I have come to find this behaviour characteristic of people who have very little going on in their own lives. People who are so eager to pull others down, to land whenever hot gist breaks, to be among the first to deliver a verdict and join in the laughter. What does it say about you that another person's misfortune is something you can barely wait to participate in? I, for one, could never fully trust someone who is so quick to condemn another person without first hearing their side of the story. I wouldn't do it because I know how easily people paint themselves as blameless when they want to bring someone else down, and I know how easily an audience believes them. You are an adult. This hunger for excitement, for gist that gives you an excuse to descend into the comment section and vomit bile you cannot substantiate, says something about how you spend your life. Much more than that, it shows how very little time you spend examining yourself. Because if you did, you would recognize how easily you, too, could find yourself in a situation where people who know nothing about what happened are laughing at you, passing judgement on you, and confidently repeating things about you that are completely untrue. You would understand how terrible it feels to have strangers turn your life into entertainment, to watch people who have never met you decide who you are from a few paragraphs, a video, or somebody else's version of events. I would hope that, as a society and as a people who want to become better than we currently are, we would learn to do better. We cannot keep talking about the kind of society we want to build while taking such pleasure in tearing one another down at the slightest opportunity. At some point, we must learn to pause, to exercise a little restraint, to remember that there is a human being at the other end of the story, and that our eagerness to condemn someone does not make us any wiser, any better, or any more righteous than they are.

To be honest, I was so upset one day in Abẹ́òkúta and decided that I would start recording the police men who exploit bikemen at Ita Baálè junction. They stop them for no reason, confiscate their bikes and beat them up if they don't pay. Something has to be done. I need ideas
