"What we believed in was responsible majority rule as opposed to irresponsible majority rule, and I stand by that. I think it's important that before you give a person a vote you ensure that his roots go down and that he's part of the whole structure of the country."
- Ian Smith
The world did not listen…
I respect when they say “If you’re not Israeli don’t tell people who to vote for”
And I would normally agree, but the elections would affect Lebanon’s future.
So, here’s my two cents if anyone really cares to know ….
Arab turnout has increased by 20 points from last election. In the last election only about 45% of eligible Arabs voted. Today they already exceeded that number by 3pm.
For three years I’ve heard how there is no apartheid in Israel and the Arabs that live there are loyal to Israel. Who do you think those Arabs are going to vote for?
The politicians who serve Israel or the politicians that are driven by fame and “peace” with their neighbor by sacrificing Israelis?
The Arabs may not be attacking with military weapons but they’re attacking with the love and freedom Israel has embraced them with.
“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”
If the Arabs win, Ehud Barak’s negotiations in 2000 will look like a blessing.
“Lebanon… A Word from History (2)
In his book The Phoenicians and the Odyssey, French historian and diplomat Victor Bérard states:
“Greek civilization in its entirety is of Phoenician origin, and the Phoenicians colonized Greece before the rise of Greek civilization.”
Conclusion:
Our people may be the only people in the world who are unaware of their own country’s history and take no pride in their magnificent heritage… A sad and astonishing reality.

“Lebanon… The Word of History
To those who deny Lebanon’s historical identity and regard it as a creation of the French Mandate or the Sykes–Picot Agreement, we say:
In a lecture delivered by the renowned British historian Arnold Toynbee at the “Lebanese Forum” on May 18, 1957, he stated, and we quote:
“Lebanon is the word of history, that is, the word spoken by history itself.
Within its surroundings, Lebanon is an exceptional country, almost miraculous… It is the culmination of what its people have built throughout the ages, making Lebanon, as a human community, a social and cultural unity since the very dawn of civilization.”
Conclusion:
Let those who doubt, those who harbor hatred, and those who seek to undermine the historical legitimacy of this ancient nation finally fall silent.

Israel has checkpoints?
Well the Palestinians and leftists had no problem with checkpoints when they terrorized the Lebanese in their own country.
Do the idiots of the “Palestinian cause” mention this or that the “Palestinians” have their own area in Lebanon that only they can enter/exit when protesting apartheid?
No. They do not.
The Republic of Lebanon: A Success in Elimination
Everyone talks about how devastating the Lebanese Civil War was, not only to the land and infrastructure but also to the population itself. The trauma was so profound that it has been passed down through generations. The stories I have heard are the kinds of accounts I would expect to hear from soldiers describing their experiences during wartime. Many will point out that Israelis have endured similar trauma. Yes, but at the hands of outsiders. Lebanon, however, has been destroyed and ripped apart not only by external forces but also from within.
The threat of civil war is the first thing the Republic of Lebanon invokes when confronted with its failure to disarm Hezbollah. No one wants war. Of course no one wants war. But what is being done to prevent it?
Nothing. Well, that is not entirely true. What is being done is the continued tolerance and support of militias that have found a home within Lebanon for decades. The Republic does this by deliberately turning a blind eye, not only to the possibility of weapons being transported through the country but also to physical evidence of their presence and movement.
It is no secret who supplies these militias with weapons, nor does the supplier appear particularly concerned about concealing its role. Iran backs Hezbollah and other militias operating within Lebanon, a pattern that predates the civil war. These armed groups, funded and supplied by Iran, have contributed to the very conditions that have repeatedly brought Lebanon to the brink of internal conflict. Their violence has been directed not only against Israel but also against Lebanese Christians and others who stand in their way.
One would think this reality would compel the Republic of Lebanon to take a stand, establish clear boundaries, and sever diplomatic relations with Iran. Quite the opposite. The Republic sits down with the regime and poses for photo opportunities. Time and again, its representatives find themselves in cordial encounters with the very regime whose influence and support for armed militias threaten Lebanese sovereignty.
Under Syrian domination, the Republic of Lebanon designated Israel as an enemy state. Even Christian leaders who had fought alongside Israel against the PLO ultimately agreed to this designation and signed on the dotted line.
Two countries, Syria and Iran, have exercised enormous influence over Lebanon's political institutions, media, and critical infrastructure, while the people continue to applaud leaders who have allowed their country to remain subject to the interests of foreign powers. Rather than demanding sovereignty and accountability, too many have been conditioned to accept the very circumstances that undermine both.
The threat of civil war has become a fear tactic. The people are left checking under their beds every night, terrified that a monster is waiting for the lights to go out. But the monster is not hiding under the bed. The monster is the one who tucked you in.
The very people whom the leftists and the PLO once attacked and killed are now accused of racism and Islamophobia for demanding a better country for their children. Lebanese Christians today are fighting the same battle their parents and grandparents have fought since 1958, the right to exist freely, independently, and proudly in their own homeland.
The Republic of Lebanon is not a failure. It is a success in elimination.
It does not matter whether Lebanon is partitioned or governed under an entirely new political system. If the fundamental problems of the Republic remain unaddressed, they will not disappear. They will only intensify, potentially becoming even more destructive on a smaller scale. Changing the borders or restructuring the system means nothing if the same forces, ideologies, and political failures are allowed to persist. A new system cannot succeed if it inherits the same failures that brought the old one to the brink of collapse.

“The Height of Outrage
Today marks the seventh anniversary of the seizure of depositors’ funds, or rather, the “Heist of the Century,” one of the most heinous and brazen financial crimes in the history of banking and finance.
The height of outrage lies in the silence of those responsible for this massive theft, from the government to the Association of Banks and the Central Bank, as though nothing had happened, and as though the suffering and rights of the people were the least of their concerns.
Even more astonishing is the silence of the depositors themselves, as though they have surrendered to despair, abandoned their rights, and left their fate to destiny, while the thieves have transferred the stolen funds abroad to invest them in foreign banks.
The Bottom Line:
We remind our fellow depositors that in a country ruled by financial mafias, stolen rights are not reclaimed through the force of law, but through the power of the streets.

Hezbollah IS the Republic
Ministers from the Christian Lebanese Forces party walked out of a Lebanese cabinet meeting in protest after the government decided not to refer the Hezbollah explosives truck case to the Judicial Council, according to Lebanese media.
Separately, a Lebanese political source opposed to Hezbollah told Kan News there is growing concern in Beirut that the group is preparing a move against the government.
“Dany Chamoun
On October 21, 1990, a pack of human wolves cold-bloodedly murdered Dany Chamoun, his wife, and their two children, Tarek (7 years old) and Julian (5 years old), in their own home.
This barbaric crime shocked the conscience of the people and left a wound in the hearts of the Lebanese that will never heal, particularly because it claimed the lives of innocent children who had no part in the conflicts of adults.
This massacre brings to mind the similar Ehden Massacre of 1978, in which Tony Frangieh, his wife, and their three-year-old daughter Jihane were killed, followed by the Safra Massacre of July 7, 1980.
Both had catastrophic consequences for the Lebanese Resistance… Then came the so-called “grand finale”: the War of Elimination, which brought everything to ruin.
And yet, they wonder why the “Christian” role in Lebanon has diminished, attributing its decline to flaws in the Constitution, while we are astonished that they should be surprised at all!
