Lastly, divorce is bad. Do try to avoid it. It's especially bad for children. But it isn't the end of the world. It's not SO incredibly bad that it's worth avoiding marriage on purpose just so you can't get divorced.
That's like avoiding employment so you can't be fired.
If the gender binary is made up, why don't we end all scholarships based on the gender binary?
Replying to @olivertraldi
The gender binary is made up. Not “on these things.” Just in general. It’s a social construct. Completely made up concept. You aren’t born liking different things because you’re a boy. Your interests are a direct result of your socialization and upbringing.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Sex differences in interests and toy preferences emerge early in infancy and parallel patterns in nonhuman primates, indicating biological factors alongside socialization. Meta-analyses document large consistent differences in things- versus people-oriented interests.

It's called Calvary, sir. Or Golgotha.
Conservatives don't mind having their ideas challenged. You can't even BE a conservative in most of the country without allowing your ideas to be challenged every once in a while.
Old Star Trek often would challenge those ideas in interesting and fun ways.

"Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences."
Actually, it does. It means exactly freedom from certain definite consequences.
Otherwise, you just get the Soviets, that had "free speech" in that you could say whatever you pleased, but might be shot in the head of you said the wrong thing.
No wonder Leftists like the phrase above. Punishing people for wrongthink and wrongspeak is one of their favorite things.

When I was in 6th grade, my English teacher had us read a book called The War Between the Classes by Gloria D. Miklowitz.
It's a novel about colored arm bands being used as class markers. Blue is the highest, then green, then light green, then orange.
When we finished the book, the entire class was then forced to participate in this "social experiment." A withered old hag of a teacher explained to us that we would be given our colored bands "randomly."
When we got them, we all immediately noticed that white students were all given orange bands and non-whites were given blue and green. Some white female students got light green, but no white males got anything but orange.
I figured this out in about 20 seconds. I did not put my band on. The teacher would notice and then make me put it on in front of everyone. I would take it back off. This would repeat over and over.
The non-white students, most of whom were bussed in from the inner city, then proceeded to verbally abuse the orange-banded students and give them orders and commands. If they said you had to carry their books you had to. The enforcement was just "tell teacher," who then handed out detentions.
One such diverse equal of mine, a female who was quite a lot larger than me at the time, cornered me in recorder class (the recorder is that stupid plastic flute you play in school music class). My equal gave me humiliating commands, wit which I did not cooperate. She then shoved me into a table, bruising my ribs.
When I told the teacher about this, the response was that I should have obeyed. The blue-banded bus rider was not punished, and I was given a warning.
Some kids I knew skipped school to get away from this lunacy. It lasted 2 weeks. Some of them happily complied, not understanding what was happening.
When it was over, the dried-up old witch whose idea it was revealed to us: "IT WAS NEVER RANDOM AFTER ALL! I gave out arm bands according to how privileged I thought you were so you could see what it was like for everyone else!" The less-intelligent students, most of whom were bus-riders, were SHOCKED. There was just no way they could have known this was happening.
This all happened in 1996.
Does that help this world we're living in make any sense to any of you out there?
The reason for this is that boys are gender neutral and girls are not.
Except in Hatchet.
BTW this is weaponizing religion while claiming to hate those who do so I guess Democrats hate themselves but actually we already knew that what else is new

Most of the reason DNC has "terrible governance" is that optimizing for political power in a mass democracy is irreducibly at odds with good governance
There's no patch for it, it's embedded in the structure of mass democracy itself
Replying to @extradeadjcb @Conotocaurious1
Despite having terrible governance, the DNC is simply better at *being a political party*
Ladies: imagine you're in an English class. You look at the reading list and it's this:
Hatchet
The Killer Angels
Dune
The Fellowship of the Ring
The Art of War
The Iliad
Percy Jackson
Rocket Men
Conan the Barbarian
When injustice is popular, standing up for justice takes courage.
