SRN6 Clyde Hover Ferries hovercraft arriving at Largs, July 1965. Despite its ability to run between Largs and Millport in 11 mins, a host of technical issues, financial problems and complaints of journeys being uncomfortable saw the service axed after just two years.

This was the only time Scotland wore the dark blue shirts with the rounded collar. If you look at the photo above you can see Jim Baxter's shirt is quite torn due to the poor material used. The strip does get more airing in a famous photo taken in Largs 1968.
