It was once extremely rare for grand jurors to rebuff prosecutors and turn down a request for an indictment, given that the Justice Department has traditionally sought criminal charges only in cases it expects to win. But prosecutors have become increasingly convinced they will be unable to bring any indictment that is seen as political while Trump is in office. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/po…

“620% surge” is what happens when you use relative risk to make a rare event sound enormous. The study found 163 myocarditis cases among about 4.45 million vaccinated people, versus 21 among about 4.44 million historical controls. That produced an adjusted hazard ratio of 7.2 — hence the frightening “620% increase.” The actual incidence was about: 0.28 vs 0.04 cases per 10,000 person-years. And the authors were not “discovering” myocarditis. They deliberately used myocarditis and pericarditis as positive controls because those vaccine-associated signals were already known. The paper’s main conclusion? Most autoimmune connective-tissue diseases were not increased after mRNA vaccination. So yes, myocarditis is a real rare adverse effect. But converting 0.28 cases per 10,000 person-years into “MYOCARDITIS SURGED 620%” is how you sell fear to people who never ask for the denominator.

Not objective on this one. Buck has given his heart, soul and body to the Colts since 2020. He absolutely deserved to be traded to a contender. He's 32 and doesn't have a ton of playing time left. Good for Buck.

A study of more than 6.3 million younger people found no increased risk of sudden death after COVID vaccination. So where does “7 standard deviations above baseline” come from? Not from CDC. Not from a peer-reviewed pediatric sudden-death study. It comes from a private analysis that chose its own baseline, coding assumptions, and statistical model, then wrapped the result in the authority of “CDC data.” That is not the same thing as CDC concluding childhood sudden cardiac death rose seven standard deviations after vaccination. If the claim is real, show the methods: the ICD codes, baseline years, age adjustment, denominator, infection adjustment, and vaccinated-versus-unvaccinated comparison. Until then, “7 sigma” is decoration. The large population data do not show the signal being claimed.
The incidence of sudden cardiac death in children is 7 standard deviations above the baseline prior to the rollout of the COVID shots and continues to rise.

My late colleague and brilliant co U.S. Science Envoy with me in the Obama Admin the @Caltech Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Ahmed Zewail would disagree. God rest his soul he didn’t have to endure this, and of course RFK Jr forgets that it was the Arab scientists of the Middle Ages who kept Aristotle, Hippocrates, Galen alive to hand it down in the Renaissance. My favorite books on this topic attached
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."
