Need to get a video of Vickers doing a squeaky falsetto saying "it's-a-me, MattVickers!" and doing a "wa-hoooo!"

Residents in Denbighshire now have TWELVE BINS to choose from. Giddy heights.

Bloody hell, @SeanOAHoulston as well?! Bumper day for bins innit?!

Council tax up 4.99%. Bin collections facing cuts.
My survey shows overwhelming opposition to the cuts.
I've presented them to Cheshire East Council, but they continue to ignore the way this will affect local families.

I'm not averse to the idea of equal pay for (truly) equal work when it comes to age, but if the argument is that da yoof don't need to be paid as much because it's effectively just pocket money as their living expenses are lower, why not just scrap the minimum wage, mandate equal pay, and let people who don't mind being paid less for other reasons do those jobs while people who need more cash give them a swerve?
Many of those jobs that would pay less currently *DO NOT EXIST AT ALL* because employers can't afford the min/living wage.
Nobody is saying we should put a gun to people's heads to force them to accept poverty wages but we're apparently stuck in the 1970s. Hey, you know MAYBE stagflation and prices and incomes policies might be..... linked?!?!?! 😱😱😱😱
Bob Generic has made yet another scattergun list of vague policy pledges because he doesn't really know much about macroeconomics...

Always great to do numbers on a clip of myself where 36 hours previously I'd discovered that I'm basically horrifically allergic to fish and I'd been absolutely sick as a dog and a puffy shade of grey for the whole of the day before!
Thank heavens for bronzer I suppose...
I'm absolutely certain that @KemiBadenoch is leading a party that knows who it is. The economic policies she and @griffitha are coming out with are the kind of things you won't see from either Labour or Reform who are wedded to big tax and spend. This is why I'm a Conservative.
How will Conservatives respond to Wednesday’s budget?
Speaking to Politics North @LauraRWeldon said Kemi Badenoch was different to Tory leaders of the past #bbcpn
See me talking about things this morning Wherever You Get Your telly
Politics North kicks off at 10am on BBC One with @annalouisedixon @LauraRWeldon @GemmaLDillon
We’re looking ahead to the budget, focussing on hospitality and care, also talking about new station for Bradford, Doncaster Sheffield Airport and tackling youth unemployment #bbcpn
No, Andy is quite right - a bottle of vodka is a much more suitable thing to include because it's multi-use.
The Labour Party has just discovered the Laffer Curve and you love to see it
▫ No increase to capital gains tax in the budget
▫John Healey wants to prioritise growth and business investment over tax rises, despite pressure from senior Labour figures to increase levies on wealth

Is it really beyond the wit of man in the Year of Our Lord 2026 to have subtitles for *JUST THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE BITS* in a TV programme that's otherwise in English?
Watching this actually quite interesting documentary and now I have to faff about with my TV settings because the only people that @DisneyPlus assume are watching are apparently either a)hearing impaired or b)completely fluent in Korean. No middle ground whatsoever.
Oh and on some programmes you just get [SPEAKS FOREIGN LANGUAGE] yeah cheers thanks for that, I guessed as much in that I had absolutely no clue what they were saying, good to know it's in "unnamed foreign" and I'm not having a psychotic episode...
I just want a translation for the stuff that's not in the main language of the programme - not random descriptions of sound effects or subtitles for the bits I can fully understand. This used to be a normal expectation on telly! Honestly this is peak enshitification.
Excellent article here from @PensionsMonkey on inheritance tax changes for pensions. The unintended consequences of this desperate tax grab are going to be massive - mark your calendars because I see Sunday paper spreads of impoverished bereaved families coming soon.
I don't think the impact of this change to pensions is fully priced in yet. The punitive tax rates are one thing, but the administration process are going to cause a lot of unnecessary grief as well
