I’ll never understand why Scream fans want to keep seeing the same story and characters over and over again. Halloween and Elm Street proved you can move on from the original characters and still make good movies. Scream desperately needs to let Sidney and Gale go.

Yes, John Carpenter’s Halloween deserves all the love and respect it gets. It’s not the greatest horror movie imo but it still stands the test of time.

Showa Godzilla, specifically the heroic version, isn’t how I prefer Godzilla but many of those movies are still high points in the franchise, despite the more dated effects and camp factor many of them have. They’re the blueprint for everything going forward and deserve respect

Yeah, that’s going in the category of “I appreciate it more than I like it”. Crazy good performances and some genuinely weird turns but not enough happens and it feels like it should have been weirder.
