How is this acceptable?
Israeli soldiers closed a checkpoint in Hebron, trapping Palestinian schoolchildren inside. The terrified children were prevented from leaving and forced to wait until they were released.🤬👿

🇵🇸 Rapper Macklemore says nine major US arenas refused to host his Free Palestine benefit tour, including Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Kia Forum, Crypto(dot)com Arena and Chase Center. He said venues offered him dates, but "once they found out these were benefit shows for Palestine, these dates were suddenly off the table." "In over twenty years of touring, I've never experienced anything like this," Macklemore wrote on Instagram on Friday, adding that "a handful of billionaires can decide which causes are acceptable." Madison Square Garden's explanation was that Macklemore, a four-time Grammy winner, is "not an arena-level act." His Free Palestine shows in Europe (London, Dublin, and Paris) already sold out three arenas. He launched the tour after being dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour in September over pro-Palestine remarks at MetLife Stadium. "There will be more shows for Palestine," he wrote yesterday.

Even better would be if the German leadership would acknowledge Germany’s historical responsibility for the Holocaust by opposing genocide on principle.
German Chancellor Merz says Muslim immigrants who refuse to acknowledge Germany’s historical responsibility for the Holocaust must leave the country.

This is worth your time. @RonniSalt Jillian Segal poses a threat to every aspect of Australian society. "This is about the sort of country Australians want to live in, and the limits of the influence of unelected officials and their attempts to destroy the democratic freedoms of everyone else. She should be sacked." theshot.net.au/uncategorized…

French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon pledges direct action to support Palestinians, against the genocide in Gaza and the creeping annexation of the occupied West Bank. He says French ships, like those of Italy and Spain, would escort civilian flotillas defending Palestinian rights if necessary. Mélenchon also rejects the gradual annexation of southern Lebanon and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, and vows to organize action against the expanding attacks on Christian communities in Palestine and Lebanon, which he says are under siege and persecution.

A white man used a carriage service to threaten to target @MehreenFaruqi and attendees at a Palestine rally. He left the comment on my TikTok video. I posted about this yesterday, see my previous post. I reported this crime to the AFP and the @IslamophobiaReg. The @IslamophobiaReg acted immediately. The team was brilliant and proactive. However I still have not heard anything from the police. I imagine the response would have been very different if this was a threat by an Arab/Muslim man targeting a pro-Israel/zionist event. There would be an immediate arrest and charges laid, wall to wall media coverage, press conferences and condemnations by politicians, police and lobby groups. However when people of colour, Arabs, Muslims and anti-Zionist Jews are targeted….silence. The double standard is extraordinary and shameful. I have also contacted @MRLMinRes and put questions to them, however have not heard back from them either.

Three in five American Jews believe that Jewish organizations are exploiting fears of antisemitism in order to defend unpopular Israeli policies. You can’t say it loud enough: these people do not speak for us.

Segal arrogantly sees herself as judge, jury and executioner. She is a hardline, right-wing menace to freedom of speech and independent journalism.

Scores of trucks carrying new tents and caravans (mobile homes) have been waiting at Gaza's border for more than a year, but Israel has blocked them from entering despite a US-brokered and monitored ceasefire. Israel’s deliberate and systematic cruelty to deprive displaced Palestinians of shelter and compound their suffering is part of an effort to drive Palestinians out of Gaza, and is continuing with full U.S. support.
🚨 HORRIFIC SCENES IN GAZA: Displaced families’ tents are completely submerged in floodwater. After Israel destroyed their homes, families are now left with nothing but flooded tents, with nowhere else to go.

I don’t know. It feels obscenely stupid to start posting videos of my loved ones in Gaza right now, as their tents flood with rainwater in the middle of the night, as they sleep in damp clothes on soaked mattresses, and to think for a f*cking second that these images might move someone to save their babies, to protect what little dignity they have left. As if this time could be any different from last year, or the year before that, or the year before that. As if people around the world, especially those with the power to do something, might suddenly be moved by a family’s tent flooding with rainwater when the sight of hundreds of babies whose bodies were shredded by Israeli bombs was not enough to put an end to this. How many more times must we expose the suffering of the people we love, strip them of their privacy in their most vulnerable moments, in the desperate hope that someone, somewhere, might finally care enough to act?

The costs are spiralling, the benefits are unclear and we are surrendering our sovereignty to an increasingly volatile America. Two-thirds of Australians want greater scrutiny of AUKUS. Three years ago this article I wrote confirmed for the first time that the American spy base in Australia was helping Israel’s genocidal war on the Palestinians of Gaza. But the Base is still open — it’s still doing the job — and 78,000 Gazans have since been slaughtered. This article was not meant as a salve to the conscience of Australians, but as a call to action. — “The Pine Gap US surveillance base located outside of Alice Springs in Australia is collecting an enormous range of communications and electronic intelligence from the brutal Gaza-Israel battlefield – and this data is being provided to the Israel Defence Forces.” declassifiedaus.org/2023/11/… @DeclassifiedAus
