I'm happy for the @conductor_build team joining @meta but the timeline for their cloud product shutting down is so damn short.
I built all these routines that run my dev workflows and it shuts down in like 8 days?!

very happy for the conductor team! i still use conductor to this day!
but i'm just not sure how to feel about acquisitions tho ngl
i really enjoy daily driving conductor, but they're shutting down cloud and will eventually wind down the local version too
it feels odd from a self fulfillment perspective. spending so much time working on something and then joining a company to just shut down your past work
same thing happened with poke -> cognition and so many others
maybe it's just me but I don't like the idea of treating selling a company as the end goal.
imo it's different when pierre computer got bought out by codex, openclaw by openai, bun by anthropic bcz they get to work on those tools in the company itself so it's different you still get to work on your initial vision of what you set out to build.

I see a lot of people surprised that the Brazilian stock market crashed 15 to 20% after Lula's re-election (as if he was suddenly going to destroy the economy) - hint : was already in power, and it's going to be the 4th time he rules the country in the last 20 years.
The truth is that a lot of Brazilian stocks had a rally over the past 3 weeks (following the expectation that Flavia Bolsonaro would come into power)
So today, a lot of stock just basically came back to the level they were about 2 weeks ago
This is more of an indication of where the market was truly hoping for Bolsonaro rather than Lula, suddenly going to destroy the Brazilian economy

Seeing Lula supporters say itโs time to buy the Brazilian stock market. To them, I point to the 2014 proxy (after Dilmaโs reelection). Those who bought the Ibovespa lost 40% until the impeachment process started in 2016.
Important detail for anyone thinking of buying: Brazilโs current situation is worse than Dilmaโs in 2014.

Very high upfront cost : Training a model <> Exploration / Drilling
Then after that very high profit margin : Inference <> Production phase (getting oil out of the ground)
