Where is your sense of social justice @EalingCouncil Cllr @_petermason Cllr @WallLauren @londoncouncils @LondonLabour ?
Taking away a huge amount of precious free green space from Ealing's low income young people and replacing it with a semi permanent expensive ticketed eyesore?
Labour-run Ealing Council @EalingCouncil is facing mounting anger over plans for a temporary 1,200-seat Troubadour theatre in Walpole Park.
Petitions, leaflets and a protest are now planned amid concerns over the park, wildlife, public access and a lack of prior community engagement.
A Troubadour site plan seen by EALING NEWS dates from April 2024 – more than two years before the plans were made public.

This is the moment Channel 4 News Foreign Affairs Correspondent Secunder Kermani was charged at by a group of Israeli settlers in the Occupied West Bank.
The settlers have laid siege to a Palestinian home, while nearby Israeli soldiers keep watch but do not intervene.
Violent attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank have risen dramatically over the past two years, while Israel's government has approved a record number of new settlements.

I wrote a full, detailed account of the October 16 settler and soldier attack on the olive harvest in Abu Falah. I think it may be the most important thing I’ve ever written.

“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah.
Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah.
Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah.
"The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him.
Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.

In the film Naza, Israeli soldiers admitted something I actually didn't know.
They said that the AI they are using identified a BAKER as being a supporter of Hamas because someone from Hamas bought bread at the bakery.
So Israel KILLED THE BAKER and his entire family.

Attended the premiere of NAZA last night in Brixton. An extraordinary film. Confirms conclusively what has always been blindingly obvious - that Israeli "targeting" in Gaza provided the thinnest of veneers for what was always indiscriminate slaughter. /1
