Very excited to announce that Iβll be contributing over at @ColtsOn_SI!
Thanks again to @nerlens_ for offering me the opportunity, and I hope to put out quality, insightful pieces for #coltsnation going forward!

Is there anything more on brand than a Purdue fan melting down with an βIndiana Sucksβ sticker on their helmet as they lose to Valparaiso?

I can confidently say theyβve already been offered more for Grover Stewart than they got for Buckner.

There are obviously things we don't know but it appears incongruous that the Colts were willing to ship off Nelson and Buckner immediately following the Ballard firing while waiting until the last minute to, I guess, win the leverage battle over other teams with these guys.
Sources: The #Colts have received plenty of calls on several players, including Jonathan Taylor, Josh Downs, Grover Stewart and others.
But the belief around the league is that, barring an offer that blows them away, Indianapolis plans to wait until after Sundayβs game vs the Cowboys before revisiting the offers on the table and making the trades that make sense on Monday and Tuesday ahead of the deadline.

The #Colts and DL Adetomiwa Adebawore have agreed to terms on a two-year, $35 million extension that includes a $13 million signing bonus and $22.5 million in new money through 2027.
Adebawore, 25, cashes in on a breakout season in a deal negotiated by @kenny_zuckerman of @PrioritySports that gives him a chance to hit the market again in his mid-20s.

Every week that goes by and Shane Steichen gives the same excuse for Daniel Jones and keeps him as the starter, the less emotional attachment the fans will have for this team
It could be for potential trades, but after the offense struggles week after week, hard to feel anything

#Coltsβ Daniel Jones among qualified QBs in 2026:
β’ 31st in passer rating (68.7)
β’ 31st in air yards per attempt (4.6)
β’ 30th in TD pass % (1.9)
β’ 29th in QBR (40.4)
β’ 29th in yards per attempt (5.8)
β’ 28th in yards per completion (9.5)
β’ 26th in completion % (60.4)
#Colts HC Shane Steichen, asked if Daniel Jones is held to a softer standard:
βIt goes back to the preparation and the command he has of the offense. β¦β
βYou want to have accountability, but like I said, I feel in this situation that he gives us the best chance to win.β

Re-watching the Coltsβ offense and itβs so clear that Daniel Jones is an elite QB being held back by the team.
Imagine him in Baltimore or Minnesota? It would really hurt to see him go (hurt so so much) but one of those two teams should probably trade for him. Go be great

#Colts WR Josh Downs was not in the locker room after media came in following Shane Steichen and Daniel Jonesβ postgame press conferences. Several other players were still in here.
Therefore, we still havenβt heard from Downs since his trade request went public.

#Colts HC Shane Steichen said heβs evaluating everything, including whether Daniel Jones remains the starting QB.
Anthony Richardson Sr. was subbed in during the fourth quarter.
Jonathan Taylor had 8 carries and was the *third* leading rusher amid all the trade rumors this week
Granted it was a negative game script from the get go but it is something to note
These #Colts post game interviews are going to be really interesting...
