SAVE THE DEGENS (STDs) - Read This👇 Andy here, bit of quick background for all the noobs, I've been in crypto for slightly over 1 year and co-lead of Fapcoin since November 25, my IRL job is in cybersecurity. The reason that information is important is because in today's age of social trading it is SUPER important to focus on keeping all of the new (and old) traders safe. Recently at Fapcoin we have experienced a truly beautiful execution of a socially engineered phishing expedition that drained one of our members wallets. The guy came in, flashing money, giving everyone gifts in TG and spent HOURS with us on a TG VC. He had answers for seemingly everything, he talked a good story. He then waited for the late hours of our regular users to hone in on his target, on one of our members. He showed his screen, executing trades in what seemed like real time. He offered our member money to trade with him (he declined), he showed him some websites that could elevate his trading. By this point our team member was convinced the guy was harmless and a successful trader, his barriers came down, the bait had been eaten. The social engineering and phishing expedition was nearing an end. After showing him all the cool tools he used to gain an edge he offered him to bookmark one of the pages - this is where it all went wrong. Once bookmarked in his browser and opened it ran a script in the background, this script gave the thief access to drain the wallets being used on his PC, in this instance it was his @fomo account. Once access was gained, the wallet was drained and all of the holdings were dumped. This message is meant to serve as a public service announcement to save the degens of this happening to you! DON'T CLICK LINKS, DON'T BOOKMARK UNKNOWN SITES, DON'T SHARE YOUR SCREEN AND DON'T SHARE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS. Believe nothing you hear, and only half that you see. Stay safe out there crypto fam!
