Linea TGE is on Sept 10th. Time to check the froggishness 🐸🚀 I went through how Linea team managed each step and what the initial circulating supply looks like. 1. Initial Circulating Supply (ICS) LXP: 9% LXP-L: 4% Ignition program: 1.4% Other ecosystem activation: 6.6% Buildors / Communities: 1% That’s 22% of the total supply in this first bucket. But on day one, the circulating supply is ~15B LINEA (20.6%), made of 14% airdrop + 6.6% ecosystem activation. Ignition is locked until Oct 27. 2. Who holds tokens on TGE (Day 1, ~15B LINEA) Excluding the locked Ignition program, the breakdown looks like this: LXP: 43.67% LXP-L: 19.41% Buildors/communities: 4.85% Ecosystem activation + other: 32% So, about 68% of the first-day supply is in hands of people who supported Linea over the last 2–3 years. That’s actually pretty solid distribution. 3. Transparency & programs ・LXP, LXP-L were fully transparent and recorded on-chain. Sybil check by @nansen_ai, plus SBTs to prove eligibility. ・Ignition program is open to everyone, providing LP and supplying. We don’t know how much was allocated in private beta before public launch, but it should be part of the 6.6% ecosystem bucket. ・Ignition offers 1B LINEA, unlocking from Oct 27 (40% first, then linear over 45 days). ・Ecosystem activation + other = we’ve seen CEX/DEX premarket, presales, etc., all falling under this. ・Buildors/Communities: 1% allocation, but Linea still hasn’t clarified how this will be distributed. Core builders and communities are left with a very short timeline before TGE to figure it out. 4. What about the other 78%? Consensys Treasury: 15% with a 5-year lockup. Ecosystem Fund: ・13% activation during the first 12–18 months. ・50% long-term, gradually over 10 years. This means the majority of supply is locked for ecosystem growth and treasury, not just short-term trading. 5. The bigger picture Linea isn’t just a token launch. @ethereum + @Consensys + @sharplink + @LineaBuild + @etherexfi. It’s got Eth-native yield, a dual burn mechanism, and a long-term ecosystem plan. The Linea Consortium (@LineaAssoc) managing the fund includes trusted Ethereum-native groups like @Consensys, @eigenfoundation, @ensdomains , @sharplink, and @ethstatus. 6. My takeaway Linea starts with ~20.6% circulating and most of that already goes to real supporters. The rest is locked into long-term plans that align with Ethereum builders. If Linea fails, it won’t be because of tokenomics. It would mean we failed to build community.
