I have never seen this big a cut to an IPO. Venture Global ($VG) offering range slashed to $23-27/share from an initial $40-46/share. Upsizing shares offered to 70MM shares. No investment advice other than what were the bankers initially thinking?!?

No surprise. Lots of gas chat w/ industry this past week in Houston. Further EF consolidation deals. Big Permian names maybe stepping into LNG. Texas Haynesville bolt-ons. Midstream integration. This slide was brought up RE: the "Requests to connect to" numbers. 👀 @MLPguy

Absolutely No One:
Jim Teague:
"We have a war in Europe. We have a war in the Middle East. We've got student mobs occupying elite university campuses and a former president being tried for crimes in courts up and down the East Coast.
Chaos reigns.
In many ways, what's going on today reminds me of the 1960s. We had a war in Asia called the Vietnam War. We had student antiwar demonstrators occupying campuses throughout the country.
And while no president was on trial, one was chased from running for a second term. And on top of all that now, like in 1968, we find that the DNC will hold its convention in Chicago. For those of you too young to know what that means, I suggest you Google 1968 Chicago Convention.
But with all this chaos, there is a constant today that should bring calm to investors' concerns in this volatile world.
Enterprise continues to deliver, month after month, quarter after quarter, and year after year, and first quarter was no exception."

Successful rich guys straying into areas they have zero competence in...
I love MLP pipelines — up 33% last 12 months plus 8-9% tax-deferred dividends. Better than AI. The MLP pipeline stocks as a group appear a little toppy now but individually there are huge disparities that can be arbitraged with longs/shorts if your accounts allow.
But — there is a huge disparity in value between the dwindling universe of these stocks/partnerships.
Value is best reflected in their bonds which trade almost uniformly around 5.5 for 10-year maturities -- but their dividends differ hugely.
NS trades at 5.64. ETRN trades at 4.78. PAA trades at 7.0 yield.
But. But. But. WES trades at 9.75. MPLX at 8.03. ET at 7.87.
An attractive arb not hard to figure out.

Initial thought is this is a bad deal for $OKE IMHO:
- loses its relative ESG crown within C-Corp midstream
- solves problem market wasn’t focused on (cash taxes)
- issuing equity, levering b/s and delaying capital return in order to complicate the story with lower growth assets
