Critics pointed out that this is hardly representative of the hobby, where many people spend more time theorycrafting about games online than actually playing them. "Must be nice to have that kind of free time," said one commenter who had already spent six hours arguing about character death on X. "Some of us are lucky to get a game in once a year. You can't expect us to lose a PC when we finally get to play." Several active accounts agreed that designers need to stop listening so much to folks who actually play RPGs. One suggested that regular gaming experience should probably be considered a conflict of interest.
