Democrats are turning out during early voting. Republicans are staying home. We still have a week left to go, but things are looking good for a blue wave 🌊🌊🌊

It was actually our 250th anniversary. Not that you would know — you spent it with the British.

foxnews.com/politics/obama-c… Democratic strategist Mally Smith defended Obama’s campaign activity, arguing that his support reflects an effort to build a broad coalition rather than a wholesale endorsement of every progressive policy. "President Obama is, by far, the most popular politician in America. He is traveling around the country supporting Democrats from across the party," Smith told Fox News Digital. "He understands we need a big-tent coalition, and that is why he is helping Democrats as diverse as Josh Turek in Iowa to El-Sayed in Michigan." "The Republicans have no equivalent when it comes to Obama’s broad appeal across the electorate," Smith said. "They are stuck with Trump, who is on a red-state desperation tour because he can’t step foot in any swing state since at-risk Republicans don’t want to be anywhere near him."

The Cheesecake Factory stuff is a really good encapsulation of conservative discourse during the Obama era for folks not old enough to have experienced it. Endless whining and mind-loss over something they wouldn’t even notice if someone else said it. Eight years of that!

I can think of no dumber discourse than the Cheesecake Factory discourse. Obama lives rent free in Trump’s head. Always has. Always will. Besides this being the ‘gayest midterms’ ever (according to Jesse), Trump saying ‘I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune’ when he’s stock trading more in one day than Nancy Pelosi did in 12 years, is what voters are hearing from the president. He’s rubbing our faces in it.

Question for surrogate wranglers: Is Bessent the ideal messenger for working class guy restaurant takes?
Bessent cooks Obama after dining at the Cheesecake Factory: "This is the man who built the museum that looks like Darth Vader’s tomb... I had a great meal, and I would tell the Martha's Vineyard set to give it a try." 😭

MAGA’s sad defense of Trump’s war of choice: - Lying that the Strait of Hormuz is open. It’s not. - Lying that Iran was weeks away from a bomb. It is not. - Downplaying the spike in energy costs that is raising everyone’s costs and bankrupting our farmers. We need to end this disastrous conflict.

So MAGA folks just lying about who they are now?
Lifelong moderate liberal here. With Democrats nominating radicals like Abdul El-Sayed, and Democratic Party leaders cheering him on, I think this is the year where it makes sense for all common-sense, moderate, reasonable Democrats like myself to vote straight ticket GOP

Democrats have just released a 50-page report detailing Trump's mentions in the Epstein files. Democratic House Judiciary members have also called for an independent special counsel to investigate Trump and AG Todd Blanche's conflicts of interest in handling the files.

Breaking: Donald Trump was "an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of young women in the mid-to-late 1990s,” according to a report issued today by Dems on the House Judiciary Committee. The report includes one new rape allegation against Trump, and calls for a special investigation of the Trump administration's cover-up of Epstein's crimes.

All the MAGA folks who say Trump works so hard 😂. Obviously this guy has way too much time on his hand to do an essay on Bill Maher.
President Trump posted a more than 1300-word rant against Bill Maher, in which he tucks in that he is “not building a swimming pool in the White House briefing room,” but is still considering moving the press out.

Evan I thought your book was OK, and I'm certainly very receptive to the idea of D organizations having become too woke/progressive/etc but this Cheesecake Factory stuff makes you look like a humorless reactionary idiot take the fucking L.
The coastal elites hate Americana. We know what they really think, and we know why they are so quickly defending Obama’s snobbery. They might think they are “too good” for the Cheesecake Factory, or find the decor to be tacky, but most regular Americans don’t

“Obama snobbery”
Classic Obama snobbery. Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who can’t afford a private chef at their Martha’s Vineyard estate.

The people complaining about Obama’s Cheesecake Factory line sound like performative humorless scolds, maybe this is Woke 2.0.
This line is getting praise on X, but it’s actually elitist garbage written by a speechwriter who clearly hasn’t spent much time in a Cheesecake Factory, which has none of the gaudy Trump aesthetic, and just feels good to say because it represents flyover MAGA “night out.”
