This has been a monumental start to the second half. We have hope!

I just want a manager that plays our best players and stops picking the deadwood. Is that too much to ask?

A half of extraordinary quality at Selhurst Park. By which I mean absolutely awful. Generally poor final ball from Crystal Palace, generally poor every ball from Newcastle. It's just great stuff.

I simply refuse to accept that Toure, Bamba and Steur are worse than these lot, just simply isn't possible, we could put some of NUFC's blind players in this 11 and they'd improve it

The players have seemingly decided that playing the ball out of play or to an opponent is a better option than completing a pass to Murphy. Not sure they're wrong.

We still aren't very good this season. At anything.

14 players signed over the last 2 summer transfer windows. 3 of them start for NUFC today.

I like Osula. He has something. But for him to be leading the line in 2026/27 in front of Willock, Murphy and Barnes is absolutely fuckin frightening. There needs to be independent audit to work out how the fuck this has happened. #nufc

So thought balloons put out by someone at the Premier League or club involved regarding a big point deduction this reason and something next. Sum total? No titles rescinded. City back in 2-3 seasons They'll keep plenty of players to compete plus academy. So 20 trophies, elevation from nationally big-ish club to globally big club, owners carry on regardless, nothing to see regarding last few years including fees, player and former managers contracts. Seems fair. If that's the punishment then I genuinely hope Newcastle United in particular just blow everyone out of the water and overheat the system in England so much that it will be impossible to compete at all. That they win every major trophy every season for 50 years and destroy English football, bankrupting 50+ clubs as they chase the impossible. Because if the punishment for a decade plus of deliberate corrupt practice is 2 or 3 seasons out of the Premier League then I'll cheer on any club in this land who does the same in the future.

We've been absolute pish so far this season. It'll be time to properly worry if things haven't picked up by Christmas. Depsite our unconvincing start, there are currently NINE teams somehow below us and Spurs have shown the past two seasons just how long you can be crap for.

The last time we had a game under control was when Steur was on the pitch, he hasn’t played since the 66th minute against Hull, and we’ve looked awful since literally that moment he went off.

We can't defend. We can't create. We have no structure. We have no idendity. We have players out of position. We have players who shouldn't be playing. We have players on the bench who should be playing. Other than that we are looking alright #NUFC

We've launched Newcastle 2.0 with a temu Eddie Howe. Oh to have a team that knows how to keep the ball, play with cohesiveness and technical ability and be solid at the back.

This has nothing to do with the summer, this is coaching. I have never seen this version of a 3-1-6 before, anywhere! And Villa took 30 mins to work out our man-marking high press, constantly finding the free man. Worrying stuff.

Those SJP boos at half time? Jaissle has a lot of convincing to do. And fast.
Haven't seen a Newcastle team this naive and chaotic since Steve Bruce.

This is 100% a coaching problem. No attacking patterns, no defensive shape and pressing is all over the place

It's been nearly three years now since we had a manager who played his best XI in a formation that suits the players he has. Still no control. Still can't keep possession. Still boring to watch. Still no clear plan or identity. It's been a long run of mediocrity & it's tiring.

Results have been good to Newcastle and a win tomorrow can take us 4th - it’s a massive oppurtunity to climb the table. You haven’t supported us long enough if you don’t know what comes next. #NUFC
