Replying to @bookingcom
Why is it that all corporates despise their customers? Booking.com here says "DM us for attention", but it doesn't actually lead to a DM option. On their webshite, it's IMPOSSIBLE to send a message. The only option is to ring their number as though it's an emergency. What an annoying bunch of useless muppets. But of curse they have a monopoly so we're forced to use them, ....so they can get away with it.

BBC-#Tubetrain #tfl drivers to stage strikes in Christmas run-up, because they don't want to get to Christmas a bit under the weather. And Klosters is sooo expensive these days.🤬🤬 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ck7v…

The Directors of #poundland are demonstrably NOT fulfilling their statutory duties?? By publicly trashing the company and it's business by their actions. How can the insolvency threat published help the business? It should be a last resort, not a means to justify the actions of a corporate rapist. Will they be told they're being prosecuted? Nottachance. #gordonbrothers are an odious operation. PS bet they're #Republicans 🤣😂🤣😂

Massive employer tax increase 🤬
Update: In the 27 months since Labour came to power, we've seen; • Employer National Insurance increased from 13.8% to 15%. • The employer NI threshold cut from £9,100 to £5,000. • The freeze on Income Tax and National Insurance thresholds extended to 2031. • Capital Gains Tax increased from 10% and 20% to 18% and 24%. • Business Asset Disposal Relief increased from 10% to 14%, then 18% – and now its lifetime limit halved to £500,000. • Investors’ Relief raised to 18% and its lifetime limit cut from £10 million to £1 million. • CGT relief on sales to Employee Ownership Trusts halved. • Carried interest taxation increased and moved into the Income Tax regime. • Dividend tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Savings-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • Property-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • VCT income tax relief cut from 30% to 20%. • Most unused pension funds brought into the Inheritance Tax net. • Agricultural and Business Property Relief capped. • Inheritance Tax thresholds frozen until 2031. • The non-dom regime replaced with a tougher residence-based system. • VAT imposed on private school fees. • Business-rates relief removed from private schools. • The Stamp Duty surcharge on second homes and buy-to-let raised from 3% to 5%. • The Furnished Holiday Lettings regime abolished. • A new annual surcharge on homes worth £2 million or more. • Pension salary-sacrifice NI relief capped at £2,000 a year. • The bank surcharge doubled. • Capital allowances for plant and machinery cut twice. • Online gaming duty almost doubled. • The Energy Profits Levy increased and extended, and its investment allowance scrapped. • Vaping Products Duty brought in and tobacco duties increased above inflation. • Vehicle Excise Duty increased for many new cars, with electric vehicles brought in. • A pay-per-mile tax on electric and plug-in hybrid cars legislated for 2028. • Air Passenger Duty increased. • Making Tax Digital extended to more landlords and self-employed people. Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades – with little to show for it in public services. Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for your family’s future... - You keep less of what you earn. - You keep less of what you invest. - You leave less for your family. Death by a thousand cuts.

You tosser. We can't send planes to #defendUkraine , but it's ok to piss away (our) inadequate military resources on one of the richest most authoritarian countries in the world. Are we charging #saudiarabia for defending the indefensible?
When allies are under attack, Britain answers. @RoyalAirForce Typhoons will help protect Saudi cities and infrastructure from Houthi missiles and drones. As an Honorary Group Captain in 601 Squadron Royal Aux Air Force, I have been privileged to interact with airmen and women of the highest calibre. Few nations can do what we do.

🚨TOP BREAKING: UK TYPHOONS ARE NOW FLYING DEFENSIVE MISSIONS OVER SAUDI ARABIA. 🇬🇧✈️🇸🇦 Britain is no longer Just Refueling Saudi Jets. RAF Typhoons are now being deployed to intercept Houthi missiles and drones over Saudi cities and critical infrastructure. This is a clear escalation. Previous UK support was limited to air-to-air refueling. Now British fighters themselves will help protect Saudi airspace. The UK government says the mission is strictly defensive no strikes inside Yemen. An A400M transport plane and military advisors are also part of the package. Houthi attacks on Riyadh and energy sites have intensified in recent weeks.

💥BRITAIN DEPLOYS RAF TYPHOONS TO HELP SHIELD SAUDI ARABIA FROM HOUTHI ATTACKS The United Kingdom is stepping up its defensive support for Saudi Arabia, with Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets set to conduct missions to protect Saudi cities and critical national infrastructure from Houthi aerial attacks. Britain’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that the aircraft will operate strictly in a defensive capacity, with no offensive strikes planned against the Iran-aligned Houthi movement. London says the attacks pose risks to regional stability, energy supplies and vital international trade routes, placing renewed focus on the security of key infrastructure across the Middle East. The additional military support follows a request from the Saudi government, as Britain moves to reinforce its defensive cooperation with Riyadh amid continuing regional security concerns. With energy security and international shipping at stake, the deployment highlights the growing international effort to protect strategic infrastructure from aerial threats. The Houthi attacks on our ally Saudi Arabia are dangerous for the region. Today @wesstreeting approved further UK military support for Saudi Arabia. RAF Typhoons will fly defensive air missions to protect Saudi airspace from drones and missiles. This builds on the air defence and air-to-air refueling support we have already provided. The Houthi attacks on our ally Saudi Arabia are absolutely despicable and dangerous for the region. Today I have approved further UK military support. RAF Typhoons will fly defensive air missions to protect Saudi airspace from drones and missiles. 🇬🇧 🇸🇦

we should give independence to #chagosislands , tell #mauritius to piss off. And they can then negotiate directly with the usa their arrangements. Britain should withdraw. Our (enfeebled) armed forces should stick to #europeansecurity via our complete dominance of the Mediterranean.
This is totally dishonest journalism. I make it clear that I am opposed to the surrender of sovereignty to Mauritius. I would offer the use of Diego Garcia to the USA in perpetuity. In return I would want America to go quiet on the Falklands. No one has fought harder to save the Chagos Islands from being given away than I have, unlike the Tories and Labour trying to give them away. I have even helped repopulate the islands with Chagossians.

the essence of his policy is right. The vast majority of #inwardmigration is Economic, not due to human rights. After all, leaving shithole X, there's plenty of nice places to live in before you wash up in Calais, so what's the issue? Less #wokeism, and more realism please
Reform will suspend the asylum system. We can't afford to risk the British people's safety.

yep, so when are we sending the boys in to drive Russia out of #ukrainewar ? [long silence...] yeah, i thought so. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 It was ok for Poland in 1939, but not in 2022+. If the West had stepped in when Ukraine FIRST asked, that little turd could never have invaded an inch of Ukraine.
It is vital that the West is clear about Ukraine’s ultimate destiny - they want to be a free sovereign independent country - and part of the West. We should welcome and support that. @cepa
