The comments by DUP leader Gavin Robinson today were arrogant and supremacist.
The DUP is consumed with their own internal leadership troubles and divisions. They are in turmoil.
The days of domination and supremacy are over.
The days of treating people like second class citizens are over.
There will be no going back.
Not now, and not ever.
I, as First Minister, will be at the Assembly on Monday morning, along with Sinn Féin’s Ministers, to continue our work.
We will keep showing up every day for people.
Exactly this, the government is "hiding from democracy"

The deputy First Minister has decided to block representation from here at major political event, which would include meeting with the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales, and the British Prime Minister.
It is for the people to decide who represents them as First Minister. Not the DUP.

When the obvious is pointed out yet you still cannot grasp the levels of hypocrisy, or mental gymnastics you employ, to dismiss the worries over the influence of still armed and active loyalist paramilitaries on our society whilst complaining about the 'feelings' of others.

“We gotta think of a plan to kick the Taigs out of govt & make them pay heavy fines if they try to block our parades through Catholic areas again.”
This is apparently the face of moderate unionism.
✍️Ulster Unionist Party Leader Jon Burrows MLA has responded to today’s High Court judgment on the Drumcree parade ban.
Jon Burrows MLA said:
“Today’s judgment is clear that ‘the law does not apply only when you agree with it’. The court confirmed Portadown District had a legal right to parade, and that the protest was mounted ‘with the purpose and effect of thwarting’ that right. Upholding the ban does not legitimise that unlawful obstruction.
“Those in elected office have a particular duty to uphold the law, and undermining it is reprehensible. The court noted the ongoing criminal investigation. The PSNI and PPS must follow the evidence wherever it leads, without fear or favour.
“We will keep pressing for reform so that anyone who breaches the obligations of their office can be excluded from office through a fair, independent process, rather than one their own party can block.
“We also want substantial on the spot ‘super fines’ for breaches of parades legislation, backed by prosecutions for anyone who refuses a lawful police direction to leave an unlawful protest. Those who break these laws must face swift and tough justice.”

It would be an act of intense provocation & sectarian harassment for republicans to apply to parade through the Shankill Rd.
It is the same when the Orange/App Boys seek to parade on Garvaghy Rd/Lr Ormeau.
The Loyal Orders must be held to account for their sectarian agitation.

Relieved for constituents on the Lower Ormeau Rd- and frankly most people in this city - that sense has prevailed and a parade will not proceed over the bridge.
But it begs the question: why in God's name couldn't the Parades Commssion apply the same basic logic on Drumcree?

🇮🇪 Listen to the people - Protect Irish neutrality
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s plans to scrap the Triple Lock are a betrayal of our neutrality and will have profound consequences for our country and future generations.
This must not be rushed through the Dáil. There must be a referendum. Let the Irish people decide.

A bit more news regarding Jeffrey Donaldson tonight. Lisburn Council are launching an investigation into potential "safeguarding concerns" regarding Jeffrey Donaldson.
Donaldson served as an elected councillor in Lisburn from 2005-2011. (This was prior to legislation banning "double-jobbing"). He was also an MP at the same time.
