Itโ€™s somewhat hilarious to me that people point out the ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ in my bio as a โ€œgotcha.โ€ I know itโ€™s there. I put it there. Why? Because I want the LGBTQ+ community to know that Iโ€”a Christian pastorโ€”am an ally. That is more important to me than any โ€œgotchasโ€ from the theobros.
Respectfully, it does not surprise me you think this way. Posting this for onlookers who might be confused.

Yesterday was another stronger-than-expected day for Democrats in Florida's in-person early vote. The electorate will continue to get more Republican as the GOP did backload its turnout (moving from R+6.9 to R+7.6 yesterday), but the question is just how much further right it gets. At this point, I think we're probably looking at a high-single-digit final Republican electorate by total party registration (after considering mail, IPEV, and Election Day votes). Nothing insane like what we're seeing in North Carolina for Democrats, but still a meaningful improvement relative to 2024. That would keep Jolly within striking distance; he has a tough path, but certainly a plausible one. It would require a really strong performance with independents and other swing voters although he'd be helped by the national environment.

My own novel, Nuremberg, Mississippi, reminds me that Dietrich Bonhoeffer would have had some thoughts on pastors like @howertonjosh. Just last week, he demanded that Texas Christians โ€œgrow upโ€ and vote for Paxton.

Replying to @AngieNixon
@AngieNixon says she trusts Cubans' lived experiences on this. Just like I don't know what it's like to be Black, she doesn't know what it's like to be Cuban. She is listening to our stories, and we have told her it's a dictatorship. She clearly says she believes us.
Itโ€™s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

Marco Frieri has not tweeted once about Ashley Moody since his fav Vindman lost. Is Marco pro-Trump, because he does not seem to want Angie Nixon holding Trump accountable.
Nixon couldnโ€™t say whether Cuba is a dictatorship. Thatโ€™s a failure of judgment, and an unnecessary liability for Democrats across Florida. Democrats should be unequivocal in condemning the repression carried out by socialist regimes in Cuba and Venezuela.

Its equally disappointing that "some" Democrats cannot seem to be bothered to watch Angie's full interview and instead react to CBS's dishonest framing Quiet frankly.. reflects poorly on them You go Angie! I got two of your bumper stickers on my car!

Same guy now attacking Angie Nixon endorsed the Republican candidate for Miami in 2025 (which the Democrat won by 19%) Pay him no mind. He's flailing in a deep red #FL28 (Trump +24%) and isn't gonna win - but apparently wants to be a jackass on his way to defeat #flapol
When a city is in crisis, veterans step up - not as Democrats or Republicans, but as leaders. Thatโ€™s why today, I am standing with @Emilioformiami. Miami is drowning in corruption. This is our chance to break the cycle and prove that public service comes before politics. Iโ€™ve said Iโ€™d reach across the aisle when Iโ€™m elected to Congress, but actions speak louder than words. So today, Iโ€™m reaching across the aisle. Heโ€™s a veteran who puts community before insiders, and service before the consultant class that has bled this city dry. This isnโ€™t about party. Itโ€™s about saving Miami from sliding even deeper into the abyss. Donโ€™t let us down, brother.

Except she didnโ€™t do that and CBS has clipped the image, as Angie highlighted in her own posts I donโ€™t have interest in rooting for candidates who shit on our Senate nominee
Anyone who refuses to acknowledge Cubaโ€™s dictatorship has no place in the U.S. government.

FYI for anyone who might see its deleted, I had to delete the graph showing turnout for NPAs based on ideological score (data restrictions - not my call) But I'll be covering this more "broadly" - point is for now. LEFT-leaning NPAs have TWICE the turnout as RIGHT-leaning NPAs

Its been discussed before, but the no-party voters of Florida are not a united group. Many skew left or right, and to a degree this can be tracked (donations, demos, and so on) Those who likely skew left are turning out strong. Conservatives staying home. INVERSE of 2022
