Russia has won the war. The Western gambit to use Ukraine as a battering ram to defeat Russia has failed. Russia has successfully fought off sanctions and the combined forces of NATO, as the Europeans squandered billions supporting Zelensky’s military regime. And Russia has taken back Novorossiya, the four Eastern oblasts that Lenin extrajudicially incorporated into the Ukrainian Soviet Republic. Sooner or later, for the sake of their economies, the Europeans will have to come to terms with Russia and resume normal, mutually beneficial relations. After many years of zero diplomacy, the Finnish and Norwegian leaders initiated a call to Putin - possibly heralding a new era of peace in Europe.
