Due to the recent attack ads in Ohio by the Ramaswamy campaign I am donating the maximum allowable by law to Amy Acton.

I don’t know @amyactonoh or her policies and frankly I don’t care.

@SenThomTillis, stop trying to scare everyone. There are enough real things to worry about with this administration. The outgoing Speaker of the House has no authority to decide whether the next Congress gets seated. Under the 20th Amendment, the terms of newly elected members begin at noon on January 3, regardless of what Mike Johnson wants. The Clerk presides over the opening proceedings, the newly elected House chooses its Speaker, and that Speaker administers the oath to members. Johnson cannot prevent a new Congress from taking office, cannot extend his own authority, and cannot simply refuse to recognize an election because his party lost. That’s not how our Constitution works.
And stop comparing this to former Vice President Mike Pence and the certification of the 2020 presidential election. Pence had a constitutionally assigned role in the counting of electoral votes on January 6, 2021, although he had no authority to overturn the results. The outgoing Speaker has no comparable role in determining whether a newly elected Congress takes office. You’re comparing two entirely different constitutional processes.

🔥 @KatiePhang (With Deniro behind her): “I’m suing A.G. Todd Blanche — Trump’s cosplaying personal lawyer — for the unredacted Epstein files… as an independent journo 🗣️ I don’t have a corporate oligarch telling me what to say… Trump has been violating federal law every day.”
Recently Steve Kornacki @SteveKornacki at NBC showed poll results with two choices "capitalism" or "socialism" even split. Unfortunately Steve doesn't understand what he is really asking for by definition, is a choice been a US market based economy and a Cuba style socialistic economy. It's unfortunate that people in the media do not understand the definition of those two terms which continues to confuse the unwitting public. What some on the left are offering is Democratic Socialism which is not the same as government ownership of the corporations, instead it simply advocated more government recourses on programs that benefit the public.
Few if any in their right mind want a government take over of the private sector (socialism) but many might opt for more social programs like Medicare for all. Since the pollsters or Steve apparently do not understand the terms they used in the poll the results are essentially useless.

Here is the reality. We have the votes to impeach Pete Hegseth tomorrow.
Mike Johnson knows it, we know it.
So he’s sending us all home to avoid the vote. cnn.com/2026/09/16/politics/…

A four-star general launched an independent review into Kid Rock’s taxpayer-funded “joy ride” in a military helicopter.
Five days later, Secretary Hegseth fired the general.
He is purging our military of experienced leaders to cover up his own corruption.

Ronald Reagan has a message for MAGA as Trump escalates the trade war with Canada:
“We should beware of the demagogues who are willing to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world, all while cynically waving the American flag.”

Trump's White House Ran an Extortion Racket Against Colorado — and Got Away With It
This wasn't governing. It was a shakedown.
In December 2025, while Trump publicly demanded Tina Peters' release and smeared Colorado's governor, his White House staffer Emily Underwood ordered five federal agencies onto a "brainstorm call" to immediately starve the state of grants and support. The next day the money started vanishing — hundreds of millions canceled by Transportation and Energy alone. More punishment followed: water funding vetoed, Space Command yanked, a world-class climate lab targeted for dismantling.
The email is a smoking gun. A federal judge called the whole idea "phenomenal" in its brazenness. Colorado's crime? Convicting a Trump ally who tampered with voting machines and refusing to scrap its mail-in ballot system.
The racket worked. Polis folded. Peters walked free. Trump got his win.
This is textbook abuse of power — using the federal treasury as a personal weapon against a state that wouldn't obey. Authoritarian regimes do this. Mature democracies do not. The fact that it succeeded only makes the corruption more disgusting.
Impeachment efforts have been launched over far less. A president who treats an American state like a protection racket target has already forfeited any claim to legitimate authority.
