Worth a watch to glimpse some of what was happening in Brazil:
Cuando los brasileños se dieron cuenta que Musk y Zuckerberg estaban manipulando el algoritmo para interferir en elecciones de su país se volcaron hacia las RRSS y la llenaron de videos de Lula elaborados con IA. Fenómeno social a estudiarse por décadas.

Burnham is winning back more progressives first, but he’s also making inroads with former Reform defectors and “red wall patriots” — this thread is well worth reading
Replying to @LukeTryl
The ‘Burnham Bounce’ is driven most clearly by progressives. Since May, Labour is up 13 points with Progressive Activists, as the Greens fall 11, and up over 10 with the Incrementalist Left. It has also gained 7 points with Rooted Patriots, the most red wall adjacent segment.

We honestly can't have too many books about that generation of activists. I'm not being sarcastic or wry. Looking forward to this one.

Flavio Bolsonaro, the defeated right-wing Brazilian presidential candidate has fled to the US. Bolsonaro it is rumoured will be granted political asylum in the US. Why? Because like his father Jair & Trump he cannot accept democracy & losing an election. Some populists!

Yesterday, I was barred from entering the West Bank by Israeli officials, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation. What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza. We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.

🧵It’s Day 100 of the Burnham premiership. Burnham has made a good first impression personally and lifted the Labour brand, with Labour up 7pts since May. There are longer-term challenges ahead, but Labour has enjoyed a sustained rise in support since July. What's driving it?

Today Israeli authorities barred me and other European elected representatives from entering the West Bank to meet Palestinian students and civil society leaders, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation. We knew that by crossing into the occupied Palestinian territories, we risked being detained, interrogated and turned away by Israeli authorities. And that, alas, is exactly what happened. For more than eight hours, we were held, interrogated and made to feel as though we had done something wrong simply by attempting to enter. The simple truth is we had done nothing wrong. We went to show our support for the Palestinian people and highlight the terrible injustice and violence being perpetrated against them. We want to ensure that people back home do not look away from the reality of what is happening. Ultimately, we went to show solidarity. But we left with an even greater determination to speak out. We will not be silenced, and we will not look away. None of us should.
