Possibly the worst answer I’ve ever heard on this topic. Yikes.
.@AbdulElSayed says it’s ok for MEN to be in girl’s locker rooms.
Why?
“Well because they are going to find out about it on the internet anyway”
Completely unacceptable.

Where AI stands after Friday.
The 7th-largest sell-off in the last two years, after rallying over 500% since ChatGPT's November 2022 release.
Also note, the all-time high was October 6, less than a month ago.

Good morning.
The WSJ on a risk that industry insiders I follow worry could spread as more debt refinancing deadlines hit:
“Brookfield is exiting the property rather than refinance the building’s roughly $360 million loan, which would have required tens of millions in additional costs because of today’s high rates, according to people familiar with the matter. The lender, Apollo-owned Bridge Investment Group, is now working to sell the loan.
Its cost of debt has effectively wiped out the firm’s equity in the property, giving it little reason to hold on, according to real-estate brokers.”

Meloni has gone far ahead of Yogi ji in Italy-
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has done in just 24 hours what the men of the European Union haven't managed in the last 30 years!
A new policy introduced by Meloni to stop riots in Italy has stunned all of Europe.
To rein in violent protests carried out in the name of students, she brought a firm blueprint called "The Anti-Riot Doctrine."
Meloni said one thing plainly:
"If you take to the streets and spread chaos, we will empty your parents' bank accounts!"
Anyone involved in violent protests will face 5 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 euros (roughly ₹18 lakh).
She understood that masked rioters with foreign funding cannot be stopped by tear gas alone. She decided to eliminate the logistics and financial support behind them.
When she began imposing heavy fines on the rioters' parents and deployed 500 military personnel in the city of Milan, suddenly no one could figure out where all those young activists seen on the streets had vanished, or which caves they had gone to hide in!
This is a stinging reply to the "New World Order" conspiracies of billionaires who fund NGOs to destabilize independent countries and use young people as shields.
When the financial and legal loopholes available in the name of protest were shut down, the truth about those putting on a drama in the name of revolution came out.
In my opinion... this exact model should be implemented in Bharat too!

Much of the AI investment boom today is driven by promises to receive trillions of cash in the future. Any whiff that won't come and the house of cards falls apart. Free on the blog app this week.

The $6tln House of Cards
Google’s announcement of nearly $1tln in forward commitments alone once again highlights how much of the AI boom today is being greased by all those involved committing to deliver future cash.

The collapse of Reddit will be studied.
After reporting earnings, its stock collapsed 30% in a single day.
It's down 44% in 2 weeks.
But the most important detail is what was revealed in that earnings call.
The CEO said AI is killing Google search.
People no longer get sent to Reddit from Google. They merely get their answers from the AI Mode itself.
Even Google confirmed this themselves with their disastrous results - AI mode is cannibalising their search business.
Pretty soon, no one will visit Reddit voluntarily. Its traffic will continue to crater.
The worst part?
Reddit isn't alone. There are millions of companies and publishers that rely on search traffic.
That's what happens when you rely on a single funnel for discovery.

From tonight's Almost Daily Grants:
"One indicator suggests that the iPhone manufacturer will be hard-pressed to please its investors. Craig Moffett, co-founder and one-half eponym of research firm MoffettNathanson, pointed out yesterday that handset upgrade rates from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile “were down sharply” in the most recent quarter. The bulk of that period took place before Apple rolled out its latest iteration smartphone in mid-September, but the downshift “carries implications for Apple’s earnings report on Monday [and] also for the fourth calendar quarter, as the trends appear likely to continue,” Moffett relayed."
My take: Could be a major wake-up call for the brazen AAPL stock buyers following Monday night's results. So much risk (see my prior tweet as well as this one) and so little upside considering the 40 PE - which is more than 2x Apple's historical average. At a $5+ Trillion market cap for AAPL and retail investors "all-in" with this stock market (and with $1.5T of margin debt - not including hedge funds' margin), AAPL - possibly the most crowded trade in history thanks to the mindless "rotation" that's been occurring - could have major repercussions in an already massively overvalued and shaky stock market.

Yesterday's earnings call with Reddit's CEO will be referenced for years to come.
Reddit, $RDDT, is now down -42% in 8 trading days.
AI has disrupted search, and the internet more broadly, forever.
Our thoughts on this are included below.
Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies.
"AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO.
The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet.
Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model.
For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic.
AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace.
The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated.
The internet has entered a new era.

From the WSJ, and further to earlier posts:
"For years, the companies behind America’s artificial-intelligence boom have raised hundreds of billions of dollars with ease. Wall Street eagerly ponied up capital and asked few questions.
Now, the balance of power is shifting.
Lenders and investors are getting choosier about where to place their bets and are demanding tougher terms, signaling a new phase in the AI build-out."
