This documentary is unquestionably a powerful & often emotional watch
Sadly it finishes with a quote from @WorldRugby who should frankly be ashamed as actions speak louder than words as their continued empty rhetoric is harming the game they’re charged with protecting & growing
This is a must watch. Incredible and so powerful - Rugby has to change.

🖤 We’re honoured to welcome Sky Sports’ @HayleyMcQueen to our Lunching & Launching charity lunch with @MiddletonHall Retirement Village.
After losing her father, Scotland and @ManUtd legend Gordon McQueen, to CTE, Hayley knows all too well the devastating impact repetitive head impacts can have on families.
Hayley has been a strong supporter of Head Safe Football and recently said:
“I’m grateful to Head Safe Football for the support and education they’ve given us, and for the work they’re doing to help people understand what this means for the future of the game.”
Now, Hayley will join us as we launch our national petition calling for stronger protection against brain injury linked to repetitive head impacts.

CTE is NOT just a professional sport problem.
The brain doesn't suddenly start counting impacts when a player signs a professional contract.
The brain doesn't know whether you're being paid.
Player protection must begin wherever head-impact exposure begins.
Protect the player. Protect the game. marshalling-cte.co.uk/mbia-b…

🧠 Domestic abuse can cause brain injury too.
Repeated blows to the head and strangulation can have lasting neurological effects — yet survivors are still frequently missed.
We need brain injury awareness within domestic abuse services.

‼️⚽ Head Safe Football wholly endorses this article from The Conversation UK
Yes - we must ensure that we have appropriate diagnosis and return to play protocols for concussions. But concussions are not the main problem.
The key issue is repetitive head impacts (RHIs).
How many? Over what period of time? What g-forces?
These RHIs are the cause of progressive CTE dementia and associated mental health symptoms. Quite simply, heading a football damages young brains.
That is why we promote our slogan ‘THINK HEAD SAFE: reduce heading in training.’ Prevention is the only cure.

🧠 A normal CT or MRI does NOT always mean there is no brain injury.
Concussion often doesn’t show on routine scans.
Symptoms and clinical assessment still matter.
