From @EliasSports, about Dylan Cease, one of the best-kept secrets in baseball: Opponents’ contact rate––fair or foul–– on swings this season is only 66 percent, lowest in AL. He has allowed 3 ER or fewer in 18 starts this season, and in those outings, he has a 2.47 ERA.

To all the seniors that careers ended today, you have accomplished more than 99.9% of people in this sport and you should be proud. The game loves you and appreciates everything you’ve given it.

I find "debating" analytics entertaining
What, you want to argue that hitting the ball hard isn't preferable? That hitting the ball on a line isn't better than hitting it on the ground?
Analytics is nothing more than taking what we know to be true and finding ways to measure it

The top HS pitcher in the 2022 Draft class is RHP Dylan Lesko of Buford HS, outside of Atlanta. Here he is via @Matrix_Baseball sitting 95-97 in a preseason scrimmage. He was already the top arm in the class when he sat in the low-90’s; has a plus changeup, command also advanced.

2022 LHP Jevarra Martin Jr. @JevarraM 6’5 220 out of Newton HS a hidden gem for sure! He is currently a 3⭐️QB with a lot of upside on the mound! @MBPTakeover @FlatgroundApp @Matrix_Baseball @CoastRecruits – at Georgia, USA

Uncommitted 2022 RHP Brady Pendley with more Trackman data from his last bullpen. Spinning his fastball at 2250 rpm while getting his SL up to 2585 rpm. Look for Brady to continue to make jumps this spring/summer.
