Sir, is this your comment to our story? wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli…
Yes. I noticed Drop Site was actually putting reporters into the field rather than doing the parasitic thing of commenting on other news organizations’ original reporting. I thought and still think that’s good. That observation has nothing to do with content of coverage
Replying to @JewishWonk
I’ve read Drop Site coverage but not comprehensively, and never saw anything I’d call propaganda. I would never come out publicly and accuse fellow reporters of being propagandists, much less for a country with which the US is at war, unless I damn well had receipts.

But “obvious,” “obviously,” everyone should just agree and nobody should ask questions or be expected to flesh out an accusation. I’m sure you’ll go far with all that intellectual curiosity 🙄

Sorry, this is ridiculous. It was a good faith request for clarification. I don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of Drop Site and was curious what she’s seen to draw such an extreme conclusion. Very disappointing for a journalist to call another journalist an idiot for asking ?s.

"A former Rwandan army sergeant major, who became an outspoken critic of President Paul Kagame, has been found beheaded in neighbouring Uganda. ... His death adds to concerns about the safety of Rwandan dissidents living in exile."

What would you do in this situation?
“I think that a sort of discursive shift in how we talk about Palestinians’ right to defend themselves needs to happen.” @infinite_jaz
Yes & long overdue but still very far. Ask a 2SS proponent how they imagine Palestinian military, borders, airspace.

The camp leaders also said: we can show you the graves.
And we drove with them through a dusty field on the outskirts of the camp to the site where they bury the dead.
Graves like these are the true measure of DOGE and the new US humanitarian model.

This is a serious allegation. Can you flesh it out/give some examples of pieces you thought were pro-Iran propaganda?

This is the MB reporting that stuck with me. It wasn’t that simple.

I did indeed! Beautiful spot. Our office was in Zamalek too.
Living for years in Egypt under Mubarak and reporting extensively on the MB when it was still an enormous grassroots outlaw party, I don’t think you can erase either its virtues or its menace. I don’t think you can reduce it to either a political movement or a religious ideology
Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood just doesn’t work coherently in U.S. discourse. There are too many layers, too much history, a lot of terrible & paralyzing aspects, also a sincere mass reaction to terrible repression & search for something better.
These exchanges are stupid.
And from @GovMikeHuckabee ?

If these psychopaths kick and beat a journalist so viciously while being recorded, what do you think happens to ordinary Palestinians when there’s nobody filming?
