80-90% of the young patients at the Tavistock were same sex attracted The misleadingly named "conversion ban" will make it a crime to say to a teenager "I think you are gay and I want you to grow up accepting your body, I do not think you are the opposite sex" This is bad law

Does anyone know the reason why successive governments refer to Male Violence Against Women & Girls (#MVAWG) as the mysterious and untethered-from-reality ‘Violence Against Women & Girls’ (#VAWG)? cc @andyburnham @Keir_Starmer @RishiSunak @trussliz @BorisJohnson @theresa_may etc

The parliamentary committee on the draft Conversion Practices Bill has issued its call for evidence. Read our briefing on who is at risk from criminalisation by this legislation and start thinking about responding. sex-matters.org/posts/update…

Anyone making money from the pornification of girls’ school uniform should be subject to serious sanctions These girls are right. It shouldn’t be up to them to fight this, but I support them in doing so

If I’m on a panel I find out who else is. Not to police them or their views but to be sure that it’s not a ‘manel’ (unless it’s something exclusively about the subjective experience of being a man) In this case, it looks like no one asked anyone anything. Absurd 😞
I know this pic has been posted by others already, but... what on earth @RCPhysicians ?! 😱 #NoMoreManels #DiversityAndInclusion

New #Spycops documentary on former Tory councillor Andy Coles. In early 90s he was a married 32 year old cop infiltrating animal rights campaigns when he exploited ‘Jessica’, then a teenage activist, for sex and cover. His actions were an abuse of power. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…

The police have identified DA as a critical threat, contributing to 65% of VAWG offences. But despite this, it is still not being treated as a national priority. As policing undergoes its biggest reforms in decades, DA must be central to that agenda. ⬇️ mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/vi…

You can’t be a good dad and an abusive partner. Dr Emma Katz is clear: the problem is the abuser. Coercive control harms children psychologically even when no one is hit. Impacts continue after separation. “Bad partner, good dad” is an outdated myth. Courts and social workers still force contact while children come home distressed. Research shows the most common outcome when contact stops is children ending up happy and safe. This is the system failure I write about. 🆘️Cases & support: nataliepage.co.uk/cases/ 📕Book: The System Is The Weapon 🇬🇧UK: amazon.co.uk/System-Weapon-A… 🇺🇸US: amazon.com/System-Weapon-Abu… 🇪🇺🇦🇺Europe & Australia: search the title on your local Amazon. 🔗📰 Article: dremmakatz.substack.com/p/yo…

The ratio of male : female teachers*, aggregated across England, Scotland & Wales is approximately: Primary 15% M : 85% F Secondary 35% M : 65% F (teachers* - not support staff) Do u think govt/s should strive for 50/50 M/F in schools or be laissez-faire about the imbalance?

This is a woefully bad Bill, dressed up as something good, and pushed by MPs who have no clue. Thankfully, vile gay conversion has been illegal for many years. But attempts to define 'being yourself' to a child who is gender confused?! Experts in the complex psychology of this like @marcuse99903226 and @JamesEsses, legal experts like @akuareindorf and @Jebadoo2 explain over and over why this Bill will cause harm and homophobia. As @AllianceLGB warn, it's about 'transing away the gay' 💔

Isn’t it lovely to see nice people saying nice things about one’s deceased mother? Being in the correct ward according to one’s biological sex is important for an individuals healthcare. I know I’m not wrong, but STFU about my mum. Cheers you lovely lot x
You're a cunt and, seemingly, your mum is too.

I welcome NHS England’s guidance protecting single sex wards and facilities based on biological sex. Women’s privacy and safety matter, alongside dignity and care for every patient. 👇🏽

As an atheist, I’m concerned by ‘blasphemy’ being criminalised Do you support: A) a blanket rule that *all and any* religious / metaphysical belief is uncriticisable B) a blanket rule that *no* religious / metaphysical belief is uncriticisable C) a pick ‘n mix approach

Screenshot is BBC Radio 4's premier film programme. I love it. At 7.30pm on Fridays, each week Ellen E Jones and Mark Kermode guide us through the expanding universe of the moving image, revealing fascinating links and hidden gems from cinema and TV to streaming and beyond. There is a giant library of the Screenshot archives to feast on. This week on Friday, Screenshot delves into the ubiquity of young people in care (someone fostered, adopted, or in a children's home) on screen, from Oliver Twist to the X-Men, Harry Potter to James Bond. I am really looking forward to it. I want to hear your opinions too. Please let me know. I will send out a reminder on the day. #screenshot BBC Radio 4 bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0032rd…

Is it possible that the language / framing we choose contains the seeds of the failure of achieving our stated aims? Is it possible that we cld approach issues of negative socialisation and cooption of boys/young men without factional jargon? I think so irishnews.com/news/belfast-c…

Working on a chapter of the book which (the chapter) is looking at ways of seeing the history /trajectory of porn Some see it as a seamless evolutionary flow from graffiti & ceramics to AI, via magazines, VHS and PornHub Others see a series of profound paradigm shifts You?
