The ever-cleverer @longhornderek caught this and wrote about it about 15 min before I did in his nightly report. I'd say great minds think alike but I more just stumbled into it trying to find a good hit of copium.
So... A *massive* number of the D EVs are "1 of 4". Seeing how much that number dwarfs Democrats who always vote in their primary... I wonder how skewed the scoreboard might be by formerly Nov. only D voters becoming ID'd Democrats in the early vote... It could be a lot...

my understanding is that there were 700-750k "new" primary participants (of the total ~870k) that had previous GE (presumably democrat) history. that would lead one to think that GE-only may not lean as dem as people are saying. And GE-only was estimated around 55R/45D for '24

Putting it out so people can come back 8 days from now: Mike Rogers has a better chance of winning than Adam Hamilton or Josh Turek.
The delta here is extremely concerning for AES. Granted, most polls show a substantially smaller underperformance, but if he does 10 points worse than Benson he likely loses. This race is a clear tossup, and I would not be shocked at all if Rogers were to win.

It’s obviously fake and won’t work but I can’t really blame him for trying. How many Democrats are trying the “independent” schtick in red states?

Republicans need a strong anti-Trump candidate who is actually conservative in 2028. Will any 2028 Republican rebuke the horrible failure that is the Trump administration?

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Roy Cooper recruited by Chuck Schumer?
In this race, there’s a clear difference in priorities. I am running for the Senate because I want to help people’s paychecks keep up with the cost of living. My opponent is running because the President told him to.

Halperin: It’s hard to find a R voting for Paxton enthusiastically. I’ve talked to Rs that said “I don’t like Paxton but I’ll prob end up voting for him”. This could lead to crossover votes. This is a tied race, and it’s going to come down to who has a better turnout operation.

TX-35 at Talarico+4 probably puts the statewide margin at somewhere from R+1 to R+3. A solid poll for Paxton here.

Anyone who leans conservative in Texas should not even consider supporting Talarico. It’s obvious he will not have a spine and has no intention to stand up to the DSA.
