The US cannot provide any meaningful security guarantee: its military is largely lacks core skills and weapon systems for modern warfare. The defense industry is incapable of producing fast enough to sustain any meaningful conflict. The US is impotent against any nuclear state.

European NATO sees Russia as the primary threat to its security. It is not going to sign up to any proposed security architecture that makes Europe more vulnerable to Russia. On security, much of Europe may have been complacent but it isn't suicidal.

This is what even MAGA fails to understand about the cretinous traitor in the White House.
He has no morality. No soul. No empathy. He seeks only profit. Grotesque profit-seeking paid for by the blood of others. Because he has no sense of nationhood, or culture, he cannot understand those who do. He’s basically a Golem of Avarice.
The greatest and most destructive lie being endlessly repeated in the press is that Trump just wants “peace” between Russia and Ukraine. The opposite is the truth. He wants a Russian victory and the destruction of Ukraine.
If he wanted “peace” he could easily aid Ukraine and sanction Russia. He wants war, and a horrible one at that.

If you told me two years ago that the US President would pressure American companies to buy fuel it doesn’t need from a Russian terrorist state still waging war in Europe, I would have said, so Trump gets reelected? What a humiliation.
NEWS: Trump admin officials want US companies to accept the Russian diesel currently crossing the Atlantic.
But American firms want nothing to do with it. They’re very scared of the legal and reputational risk, industry sources tell me and @jstein_sun

@elonmusk Elon, I want to tell you something as a Ukrainian.
For years, many people in Ukraine admired and respected you. I was one of them. I personally saw you as a technological genius, a visionary, someone who was building the future while others were still living in the past.
And that is exactly why your growing hostility toward Ukraine is so difficult for me to understand.
Ukraine is not a perfect country. We have corruption, political failures, and many problems. Nobody denies that. But tell me, which country is perfect?
Ukraine is also a country of incredibly talented engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, developers, artists, and ordinary hardworking people. We build world-class technology, innovate under impossible conditions, value education, and have repeatedly shown the world what courage, resilience, and human dignity look like.
We are a country that voluntarily gave up the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for security assurances.
We are a nation that stood up in 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, because we refused to live under authoritarianism and Russian domination. We wanted freedom, democracy, and the right to choose our own future.
And today, we are fighting for that same freedom.
Every day, Ukrainian civilians are killed by Russian missiles, drones, and bombs. Children lose their parents. Parents bury their children. Entire cities are destroyed. Millions of lives have been shattered.
These people are not dying because of Zelenskyy. They are not dying because of Ukrainian corruption. They are dying because Putin chose to invade another sovereign nation and continues to wage a war against its people, cities, culture, and identity.
Yes, corruption must be fought. Yes, every dollar of international aid must be accounted for. Ukrainians themselves deserve transparency and justice more than anyone.
But corruption does not justify invasion. Political failures do not justify bombing children. And no amount of criticism of Ukraine changes who crossed the border with an invading army.
You seem to believe that giving up Donbas and Luhansk could bring peace. But why should we believe Putin would stop there?
He already violated Ukraine's sovereignty after promising to respect it. He took Crimea in 2014. He fueled war in Donbas. And in 2022, he launched a full-scale invasion.
What makes you think another territorial concession would finally satisfy him?
History has shown us what happens when democracies believe they can secure lasting peace by rewarding an aggressor with someone else's land.
We have seen this before, in Europe, in the years leading up to World War II.
Peace built on surrender to a dictator is not necessarily peace. Sometimes it is simply an invitation to the next war.
Elon, you are a man who talks about the future of humanity, about making civilization better, about taking humanity to Mars.
But what kind of future are we building if we accept that powerful dictators can erase smaller nations simply because they have more weapons?
Ukraine is not asking the world to pretend we are perfect.
We are asking the world to recognize that we have the same right to exist, to be free, and to determine our future as Americans do.
And one more thing: Ukrainians have never been your enemies. Many of us admired you, believed in your vision, and appreciated what Starlink made possible during the darkest days of this war.
That is why your words hurt more than you might realize.
You have enormous influence. Your voice can shape how millions of people understand this war.
I still want to believe that the man who dreams of advancing humanity can recognize the humanity of people fighting simply to survive.
It is not too late to stand on the right side of history.
Not on Zelenskyy's side. Not on any politician's side.
On the side of freedom. On the side of human life. On the side of a nation's right to exist.
That is all we are asking for.

Apparently, many in the US still didn't grasp the simple idea that there was never any America in MAGA and that MAGA is a Potemkin front for MTRA (Make Trump Rich Again). He will sell everything that isn't nailed down.
Prove that Trump is eating out of Putin's hand—he believes lies Putin tells him. The same delusion as with demand for somebody else—not Zelenskiy—to represent Ukraine. This is engraved in Russian mentality that only tsar makes decisions about fate of a country—but not in Ukraine.
In recounting once again this story of the battle for Kyiv that has zero connection to reality, Trump seems to be really disappointed that Russia didn’t end the war by conquering Kyiv in four hours.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Russian tanks did use highways to Kyiv in 2022 and took heavy losses. The main reason the 40-mile convoy failed was it lacked fuel and food. Ukraine blew bridges, flooded the Irpin, and ambushed columns.

Russia is a loose cannon but blames Ukraine for imaginary "biolabs":
A 28 y.o. technician at an "anti-plague institute" in the Irkutsk lab reportedly broke a tube containing plague pathogen on September 25. She died October 1 or 2. Nearly 200 people are now in medical isolation.

This is officially a civilian institute.
But Russia is well known to have an active military biological weapons program
And our intelligence agencies have publicly stated that their program has been expanding substantially in recent years

For the benefit of the doubt, and despite the company's best efforts to present otherwise, Palantir is *not* powering Ukraine's drone war. Their products are still being used in only a very small percentage of the most exotic operations.

It is not humiliating for him, since he has no sense of dignity, but it is humiliating for the rest of us that the president of the United States serves as a subordinate press officer of the Kremlin, saying things that are not only false and cruel but which only Russians could have instructed him to say, since there is no way he could have thought of them himself, and since they depend on knowledge that he does not have.
Ukrainian language was banned by russia 134 times! 130 y. ago, Ukrainian-speaking area was not limited by Ukraine, but also some parts of russia and Belarus spoke it (see the red area—the result of russian Empire census in 1897, when people identified themselves by the language).
Why so many Ukrainians speak russian? Let me explain.
But first, let me ask you a question: Why do Irish and Scotts speak English, Catalans and Basques speak Spanish, Bretons speak French, etc. You probably know the short answer. But let me put a longer one. Ukrainian language was banned by russia 134 times! Here are most notable events:
1720: A decree by Tsar Peter I banned the printing of books in Ukraine.
1753: A decree by Catherine II prohibited teaching in the Ukrainian language.
1768: A decree from the Synod of the russian Orthodox Church called for the confiscation of Ukrainian primers from the population.
1775: Closure of Ukrainian schools after russian troops destroyed the Zaporizhian Sich.
1830-1840s: russification of Ukraine intensified. Even the very name "Ukraine" was prohibited to be used.
1889: At an archaeological congress in Kyiv, it was permitted to read papers "in all languages except Ukrainian."
1895: A ban on Ukrainian children's literature.
1914: A ban on the Ukrainian press.
1938: Mandatory study of the russian language was introduced throughout Ukraine. At the same time, there was a mass closure of national schools, and the prestige of the Ukrainian language declined.
1926-1939: Physical deportations of Ukrainian activists accused of nationalism. Four family members on my mother’s side were deported.
1929: Newly printed dictionary of Ukrainian was prohibited.
1960s: Arrests and extermination of the young generation of Ukrainian intelligentsia.
130 years ago, Ukrainian-speaking area was not limited by Ukraine, but also some parts of russia and Belarus spoke it (see the red area, that's the result of russian Empire census in 1897, when people identified themselves by the language). So, when someone says that some region of Ukraine is “russian speaking”, read the above list again. It’s a miracle that Ukrainian language even survived, and many people sacrificed their lives for it.
American dominance, military bases, munition stockpiles, alliances, and influence—all of these were given away in exchange for additional $2B for Trump's personal bank account. That was the price for American reputation, morals, stability, and way of life. "The art of the deal."
The American age of global dominance that followed World War II was bound to end eventually, @PhillipsPOBrien writes—“What’s shocking is how suddenly that moment has arrived”: theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…
I'm surprised with the reaction of the US society and politicians—or rather lack of it—regarding unprecedented level of corruption by the president. Looks like it's true that an elected president is a creature and mirror of the society. Otherwise, he wouldn't be elected. Shame.
Damn Ukrainians. Why don't they just give away their land with homes and agree to be robbed, raped, tortured, and die to please Trump and his master.

In other words, exactly the sort of person you'd expect to finance and attend Trump's son's wedding: Russian, thug, connected to Putin, would never do anything without a quid pro quo.
The keyword is "gift." In other word, it's a bribe. The bribe is confirmed by a member of Trump's family. Trump's family, as a private entity, benefits financially by having its expenses covered by a direct bribe from a Russian "friend."

The problem of AI adoption is the term itself. It's too vague and not clear what it's for. The term "artificial intelligence" was first coined in 1955 as a trick to get funding for a research. The whole field should be called clearly and less vaguely: Statistical Machine Learning

It's amazing to observe the same trap AI adepts fall into after SV preached for decades to not built a solution in search of a problem. But so called AI—fake marketing term—is just an algo tool/solution. Companies don't know how, where, and to what problem to apply this solution.
Appeasing is not negotiations. Trump talks about latter while doing former. There are no negotiations going on and never were.
Trump sent Ratcliffe to Moscow.
Putin refused to see Ratcliffe because he didn’t like the message, and asked for different Americans with a different message.
Witkoff and Kushner promptly arrived, pleasing Putin with tales about how they would cherish “incredible memories” of his blessed presence.
Now Trump is back to calling Zelensky an obstacle to peace.
It’s fun to negotiate with America.
