this whole "first conservative government in decades" thing is getting pretty annoying. here's our last conservative premier christy clark, who was in power until 2017, explaining why electing right-wing governments is not new in BC:
Canadian province of British Columbia just elected a Conservative government for first time in decades. Here's part of the story why, me in the @theAtlantic from 2025 theatlantic.com/internationa…

Conservatives have governed BC under the names “Social Credit” and “BC Liberals” for 52 of the last 74 years. Uninformed people should stop portraying this as the first time BC has had a right wing govt in 100 years.

you’d think with the decline in popularity of catgirls, their natural prey (ratgirls) would have seen more of a population boost by now. girl ecology is so hard to understand…
I do not care how cringe people think this is, They are right. The internet used to be fun and it belonged to all of us. And it still can be if we fight for it.

While pundits on national TV applauded Lorne Doerkson for running a campaign supposedly laser-focused on the economy, it appears white nationalists listening when his campaign manager posted "fuck Islam" and when his relentlessly attacked Indigenous rights.
Total media failure.

It strikes me as a Very Bad Sign that this election result was apparently taken as a signal by white supremacists!

I am not gonna lie, I almost cried. people are removing a large picture of Vojislav Šešelj the war criminal from a key building in my hometown that has been there for thirty years *since the nineties*. I feel we are literally confronting the bastards that destroyed the Balkans
How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer?
Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours.
So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

surely just telling yourself it's for "search and rescue" isn't enough to sleep soundly when u build shit like this
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

To everyone celebrating Lula’s reelection victory, I just want us to all acknowledge Erika Hilton right here. She’s a Black trans woman who became the most voted congresswoman in Brazilian history this cycle and has been campaigning nonstop for Lula in the second round

if systems wanted to stop getting fakeclaimed they'd have more believable alters. it's always shit like angels but a real alter would just be a normal animal, like a gorilla. and he'd be from somewhere close, like the moon. and he'd protect his alters ofc, maybe with a shield do-

We really gotta teach STEM majors the importance of not making things sometimes
