i’m sick to death of feeling like i’m a radical person simply because i think we should be acting on this massive scientific consensus bbc.co.uk/news/science-envir…
Gentle reminder for #climateaction professionals:
✨ If you're not annoying anyone, you're not achieving anything ✨

No system is perfect.
But that CANNOT be an excuse to push ahead with a system we KNOW will collapse within most of our lifetimes, causing the death of billions & rendering much of the planet unlivable.
We HAVE to give #Degrowth a shot.

Youth participation in climate action is one of the main pillars of inclusivity. It must facilitate greater access to badges and funds💵for young people, especially those from the 🌏south and @FFFMAPA, and allow observers to participate fully in the #negotiation sessions.

I can think of few things as irresponsible or immoral as the sentiment "the children will solve the climate emergency." Nope. Right here, right now people.

it's very exhausting to see white people write articles about how it's "too late" to stop climate breakdown - too late for who??? Every single fraction of a degree of warming we prevent is lives saved - especially in the Global South. It's never too late.

30°C above normal in the Arctic today.
40°C above normal in the Antarctic today.
It would be unbelievable if it were not true.
And it is terrifying beyond words.
The war we have waged against the natural world has, in climatic terms, just gone nuclear.

Agroforestry-based forest restoration is underperforming, both ecologically and economically. We carefully selected new species and improved the existing practices. Here are impressive photos to share @Darwin_Defra @TheBotanics

Most writing advice is tailored for neurotypical people. Neurodivergent writing is different. I've been bludgeoned w "thinking about writing isn't writing" in grad school. For my neurodivergent mind, it is, in fact, the vast majority of how I write. Trust your process, not theirs
Delighted to share that I am now the #NetZero Landscapes Lead at @CotswoldsAONB! I look forward to collaborating with colleagues, local authorities, farmers, landowners, citizens & other stakeholders on an ambitious plan to decarbonise & enhance this incredible place we call home
ALT Photograph of a Cotswolds landscape, taken from Haresfield Beacon last spring (2021). The image shows a green lush valley, with fields on either side separated by hedges. In the background, on top of the hill, is a woodland, and in the foreground there is a budding tree.

Unlikely to be a popular opinion - science is key & I'm glad climate change is studied closely. But there's been 30 years of damning reports; my bet isn't on science changing policies, but social movements.

I’m still stuck on this idea: investing in more sleep for climate justice. If everyone in the United States was encouraged to sleep an additional hour or two, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions could be huge. Like the size of smaller, more sustainable countries huge. – at Chicago, IL

The final sentence of new IPCC report:
"The scientific evidence is unequivocal: climate change is a threat to human well-being and the health of the planet.
Any further delay in concerted global action will miss a brief and rapidly closing window to secure a liveable future."
