Regardless of how you feel about TLJ, thinking that it’s the only Star Wars film to give us something important to think about...is one hell of a take.

For me, its the only SW film that went beyond its serialized adventure nature to give us something important to think about. The rest of SW are *movies. This was a FILM. I wont back down from that claim.

The Last Jedi was good because “People do things for selfish, altruistic, ideological and emotional reasons” is more interesting than “people are inherently good or evil and that’s it”

The more I talk talk to sources, the more i’m hearing America’s betrayal of the Kurds, and the humiliation, “misogynistic” “squashing” of US ambassador in Ukraine for political motivations makes people think, we, Americans, have become the “bad guys.” Hearing it was gut punch.

Of the Star Wars movies: IV, V and VIII are legitimately good films VI, VII and Rogue One are OK movies with occasional moments of real inspiration I, III and Solo are bad movies with a few redeeming qualities. II is trash.
