Jeremy Jacobs, a former head of the UKโs United Synagogue, says he is moving to Israel after losing faith in British society amid rising antisemitism.
His family has lived in Britain since the 1850s.
Now he says walking around London with a kippah makes him fearful, and he no longer believes most people would defend Jews facing harassment.
His words say everything:
โWhen I walk in Israel, even in a war zone, I feel at home.โ
โIn London, where we live, that feeling has gone.โ
This is what happens when a country allows antisemitism to become normal in its streets, universities, and public spaces.

I was just informed that the Spanish government has permanently recalled their ambassador to Israel. This is hard for me to absorb. Spain is a member of NATO, and the United States and Israel are in joint operations against the Iranian regime who openly calls for the destruction of the Jewish State, attacks against the West, and seeks to purify Islam in its own image.
The religious Nazi regime in Iran is the problem, not the Jewish State. I hope Spainโs actions will not encourage the tyrannical, fanatical regime in Iran โ that abuses its own people โ to hang on.

The IDF announced today, January 26, 2026, that all living and deceased hostages taken to Gaza have been returned to Israel.
After 843 days, the body of Master Sergeant Ran Gvili zโl, a Yasam fighter, was identified and returned for burial, completing the mission to bring every hostage home.
On October 7, 2023, terrorist organizations from Gaza murdered more than 1,200 people and abducted 251 civilians and soldiers. Since that day, the IDF has operated across all fronts with a single moral commitment: to return every hostage, the living and the fallen.
This achievement reflects the combined efforts of IDF forces, intelligence and security agencies, and the enduring promise to the people of Israel: no one is left behind.
The IDF bows its head in memory of the victims, the 924 fallen soldiers, the wounded, and the bereaved families, and pledges to learn from October 7 to ensure such an atrocity never happens again.
