Love you coach
Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d'Or: "I talked about it with my staff and we thought it was right that it was given to him. It was the logical choice given the quality of the player. He has frightening numbers, even though he’s not always highlighted like some other players are. That’s how it should be" [via @footballitalia]
It really boils down to
Bayern > Liverpool
Lewy got close to winning it twice against Messi and Kane just won it. Liverpool just isn’t the sort of club one wins the Bdor.

People’s issue with Kane winning the Balon Dor is pretty much that they view this as less valuable than beating a man 1v1
👍
“In a culture where narcissism reigns, and where even pre-eminent athletes feel compelled to advertise their greatness in glossy Instagram screeds, Harry Kane is striking a blow for humility and understatement.”

73 balls. London. One golden moment.
We drove the balls representing Harry Kane’s goals for club and country to London, gifting them to former teammates, people from his hometown, and the places that shaped his journey – from the streets where he grew up to his former clubs, as well as the heart of London City.
All leading up to one golden moment last night.
Harry, we’re incredibly proud of you. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved together – and everything still to come. ❤️🤍
