This woman allegedly attempted to kill a child while recording the incident. Someone shared a deeply disturbing video with me. Watching it is heartbreaking; it is the kind of footage that can make even people with strong hearts break down in tears.
I immediately engaged an officer from the Communications Authority (CA), who referred the matter to the Children Protection Department for urgent action.
I am glad to report that the woman has been arrested.
I will continue standing up for children, protecting their rights and fighting for their safety. Children are innocent and vulnerable, and they deserve protection. They may not have the voice or power to defend themselves, but I will continue speaking and fighting for them.
Every child deserves to be safe. Every child deserves protection. Their safety is our collective responsibility.
