I keep thinking about this one tweet I saw about parents who treated every inconvenience like a tragedy and how it basically conditioned their kids into believing that life was way harder than it actually is
Two people could come from similar socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, generations, etc. but showcase completely different levels of emotional fragility because of this
One person gets hit with an unexpected bill, accidentally breaks something, etc. Actually ends up debilitating them for a good portion of the day. Another person gets pummeled by a string of consecutive L's and ultimately laughs about reality being the greatest comedy
Just because as kids they didn't have the agency yet to question their inputs and had to make sense of them at face value. All they could do was see their mom freak out over forgetting to put the food in the fridge overnight and think "all mistake bad and scary" or see their dad calmly navigate through a recession and think "sometimes bad thing happen but never need to worry"
Honestly made a huge impact on me because it not only started making me hyper aware of my own knee jerk reactions, but also allowed me to better understand how other people act. Like no you're not being punished. You don't have to be exhausted all the time. Your family just oneshotted you but the good thing is you have the power to break the generational curse. Please believe in yourself
Everything is a matter of perception and your perception can be fully controlled. Life is truly only as hard as you believe it is. Catch yourself being dramatic, just take a step back and ask yourself why. Realize you were fed beliefs that you didn't ask for. Forgive the past, accept the present, and commit to the process of replacing those beliefs with new ones. Before you know it, you stop reacting in the way you once did and change not only your life but everyone who comes in contact with you from here on out
Magnesium chloride solution eyewash is amazing for itchy eyes
Will sting though but will feel amazing after
Strangest thing I've learned today is that the eyes have an ocular microbiome
It's become pretty common knowledge that the gut microbiome exists, and if you've been in the health space you've probably heard of the oral microbiome and skin microbiome
The eye's bacterial population is probably the least understood, as the strains have to live under specific conditions of light, salinity, and the body's immune defense
This could play a role in certain eye disorders like dry eyes or chronic conjunctivitis, and "ocular dysbiosis" could contribute to eye infection

Subconscious Fact of the Day:
Gratitude interrupts fear at the neurological level. Not hope. Not positive thinking. Gratitude. Focus on what's working and your brain stops scanning for threats. That's how you shift from survival mode to growth mode.
