The announcement is thought provoking
Actually, there are many questions. But why now, @Coredao_Org?
53
Yes, it has to be now, good projects are tested on critical cases. $core launched during bear market and succeeded, $core is now handed over to the community during critical period of many questions and uncertainties and it will still succeed.

At this point, people can build whatever they want. We could have more neobanks built on @Coredao_Org in the course of time However, I still think SatPay will be delivered at a convenient time and it will lead the realm Bitcoin neobanks

Let's hope so
@richrines fought so hard for this project to let it go like this. I think he's up to something. Abandoning a project with such solid foundations after four years of construction is foolish. And I don't think Rich is foolish. Something is happening in the coming months.

Decentralization has been a founding principle of Core, and today marks another step in that commitment. We've already seen it work. Independent validators have taken on block production, and the network has kept running without interruption throughout the handover. Now that same model is extending across the ecosystem. As part of that evolution, I'm transitioning out of my role in the DAO, and the community will continue taking on more of Core's development. The validators, builders, partners, and Coretoshis who power Core are already leading the way. I'm grateful to everyone I've had the chance to build alongside. I'll always be a Coretoshi, and I'm excited to see Core continue growing as a network built to scale Bitcoin and carry its decentralized ideals forward.
Core is entering its next phase of decentralization. Since the DAO began handing over its block-production role to independent validators, the network has run with zero downtime throughout the transition. Decentralization has guided Core since its first block. Each handoff of DAO initiatives to independent community operators builds on that foundation. Now, the community will continue taking on a greater share of stewardship across Core, from ecosystem building and growth initiatives to the decisions that shape its direction. As part of this transition, initial contributors like Rich Rines and Brendon Sedo are stepping out of their roles in the DAO. A network owned and led by its community is built to last. In the months ahead, more independent operators, more community-led projects, and more Coretoshi voices will shape where Core goes next. Thank you to every validator, builder, and Coretoshi continuing to carry Core forward. Bitcoin's full potential remains untapped. Core will keep pushing that frontier forward, in service of decentralization, self-sovereignty, and freedom.

Core DAO’s early leaders step aside as the community takes the wheel Core DAO (@Coredao_Org, $CORE) said today that initial contributors Rich Rines (@richrines) and Brendon Sedo (@BrendonSedo) are stepping down from their roles in the DAO. Core's community will take on more ecosystem-building, growth work, and decisions about where the Bitcoin-focused chain goes next. The move follows the DAO handing block production to independent validators, a switch the network has made with zero downtime so far. More independent operators and community-led projects are set to follow in the coming months.

Many see #CORE as a failed project. We disagree. What made Core special never has been the chain, consensus or token. It always has been the community. This community is still very strong and deserves something better than this.

IceCreamSwap says Core is not a "failed project" With @Coredao_Org's $CORE coin down nearly 95%, many are quick to call the blockchain a failed one. But is this the case? According to @icecream_swap, the chain's OG DEX, what made Core chain special wasn't its utility, native asset, or consensus mechanism. Rather, the community did. In essence, the DEX is backing the community to make CORE strong once again.

I always laugh when somebody asks me what is the next catalyst for bitcoin Bitcoin is a result of thousands of years of the money being captured and diluted in society, at the expense of the people It’s the first verifiably fair monetary system in human history The fact that bitcoin cannot be captured and cannot be counterfeited is the only catalyst it will ever need

This is the entire liquidity ecosystem of @Coredao_Org. One aspect jumps out: There are 3 WCORE tokens! While every other ecosystem has a single main wrapped token, Core has 3. This significantly fragmented liquidity, making liquidity less efficient on #CORE

People beg me for a Bitcoin price prediction, so it's finally time to give it to you: Kiyosaki once pushed me for a number on a 10 to 15 year timeframe, so I said millions of dollars per Bitcoin in the 2030s. People find that unimaginable and crazy. What they don't take into account is the hyperinflation of the US dollar, which is underway right now, as it is with all fiat currencies, all the time. Anyone who's ever opened a history book knows that paper currencies unbacked by commodity money like gold or silver must end in hyperinflation. There's every incentive to print it into worthlessness, and no safeguard against such printing. They're either conquered and replaced, or they hyperinflate. That's literally the only thing that ever happens, without exception. As Charlie Munger says, show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome. If you create a currency that can be printed ad infinitum with no restrictions, and it rewards the printer for printing it, what do you think is going to happen? They print the thing until it goes to zero. Of course. The dollar is a fiat currency shitcoin. So when you denominate Bitcoin in dollars, Bitcoin trading in the millions and tens of millions is as certain as the dollar being printed into worthlessness. I know that sounds scary if you're used to the dollar working. But you've got to zoom out. As Schopenhauer said, every man takes the limits of his field of vision for the limits of the world. Don't make that mistake. Study the fate of fiat currencies and you'll understand. This could be a multi-decade, multi-generational game. But directionally, I can say with a very high degree of certainty: Bitcoin number go up, US dollar number go down. So my prediction is that the Bitcoin price will go up forever.

Core has no single public founder. @Coredao_Org's best-known names are Rich Rines, a former Coinbase engineering lead, and Brendon Sedo. Much of the original $CORE team is anonymous. Mainnet launched January 14, 2023. The people on record: bsc.news/post/who-is-behind-…
