A part of a group of Black lesbian socialists, she co-authored the groundbreaking “Combahee River Collective Statement.” A prolific writer, she has published many books and articles that have emphasized the interlocking nature of systems of oppression under capitalism and the necessity of fighting all of them as part of a struggle for collective liberation. But she is no armchair intellectual; she is also an organizer and activist. 🚨 HOLY SMOKES: ICE agents in Maine just photographed a civilian’s face and name and said they’re putting it in a database.
When the woman asked why, the agent’s response was basically: “Now you’re considered a domestic terrorist.”

I went from begging Democrats not to fund the IDF as they shot a 6 year old to death waiting in a car for an ambulance in Gaza to begging Dems not to fund ICE as they teargassed a 5 year old in a car in Minnesota.
Spoiler Alert: They funded both.

If Democrats aren’t whipping votes against ICE funding, and letting conservative members vote to pass it, it means the Democratic Party supports ICE funding.

Step 1: Point out fascism
Step 2: Fundraise off the threat of fascism and promise to oppose it.
Step 3: Do little to meaningfully oppose fascism when in power. Often collaborate with fascists.

Wow. Not only did Democrats okay an ICE funding increase, they specifically worked it out so that their votes won't matter for final passage. In other words they gave away the small bit of leverage they actually had, for a show vote. That's legitimately evil.
